If you're passionate about making a difference in this critical field, we invite you to explore a career with Carollo.\nResponsibilities\nExpand Carollo’s presence in the local stormwater market via targeted business development strategies, including growing specific client relationships, participating in select professional society activities\nWork with the Stormwater Client Service Leads across the company to support local growth in their areas and develop/implement strategy for continued stormwater growth and innovation\nLead the application of 1D and 2D hydraulic and hydrologic modeling systems in urban settings at the local and watershed level to support the planning and design of related infrastructure, including: pipelines, open channels, pump stations, channel stabilization techniques, storage and treatment facilities, multi-benefit facilities, and other conveyance measures\nLead detailed design projects, including creation of contract documents (i.e., plan sets and specifications), hydraulic and hydrologic calculations, report writing, and other activities needed to support the planning, design, and construction services for stormwater management facilities\nCollaborate with other engineering disciplines, designers, and scientists, among others, who support specific assignments\nSome travel within California is expected. Travel outside of California may also be needed to support strategic national efforts\nQualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering or other appropriate engineering major\n8-10 years of experience relating to stormwater and water resources projects\nA California engineering license or the ability to obtain one within 12 months\nExtensive expertise in leading the planning and design of solutions for urban stormwater management challenges, related to both quantity and quality.\nFamiliarity with standard tools, including HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, InfoWorks ICM, FLO-2D, XPSWMM, ArcGIS, and Civil 3D.\nExperience with the selection and optimization of multi-benefit urban stormwater projects\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to apply critical thinking to develop options and recommendations to solve technical problems\nAbility to present to groups and communicate effectively with clients and project team\nProficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering or appropriate engineering major\nExperience with client service and business development efforts, including project positioning, proposal preparation, interviews, and technical presentations\nProficiency with Geographical Information Systems\nProficiency with other hydrologic/hydraulic and water quality modeling software\nExperience with Northern California clients\nCompensation Range\n$130,000 to $155,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
