If you're passionate about making a difference in this critical field, we invite you to explore a career with Carollo.\nResponsibilities\nPerforms basic power engineering tasks and calculations for water and wastewater treatment facilities under the direction and supervision of a Staff Electrical Engineer\nReceptacle designs, including panel schedule load and phase balancing\nLighting designs, including zonal cavity calculations, luminaire layout, and circuit switching\nConduit layout and fill calculations\nWire sizing\nPerforms basic CADD drafting\nSubmittal review\nPerforms specification research\nAssists in development of technical memorandum\nReviews work for discrepancies or inconsistencies\nTracks details of work to discuss and resolve\nDevelops and improves technical knowledge and skills\nMaintains professionalism in relationships with other office and team members\nPlans what needs to be communicated and how to present the information effectively\nSeeks out company and client technical standards and implements them on projects\nConstructively builds and maintains relationships with others on the project design team\nTravel required when requested\nMakes site visits to observe during construction and operation\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering\n0-4 years experience\nCourse work in power engineering\nEngineer-in-Training Certification or FE license; or ability to obtain within 6 months \nBasic and advanced course work in A.C. machinery, electrical measurements, symmetrical components, and control system logic design, design of computer LANs, industrial control system LANs and control system logic and design\nBasic understanding of the National Electrical Code\nAbility to read and understand One-Line Diagrams and Control Schematics\nWorking knowledge of symmetrical components, fault current calculations, and machine theory\nAbility to work with supervisor to effectively complete routine tasks\nCapable of breaking a task into one or more component parts and sequencing those parts effectively\nGeneral awareness of need for practicality and constructability of design solutions\nGeneral awareness of the scope, schedule and budget assigned for engineering tasks\nAbility to work with more experienced electrical engineers to apply standard textbook electrical design and analysis approach\nFollows selected design approach through completion of analysis and detailing\nLogically organizes work\nAbility to listen to others and ask clarifying questions at appropriate time\nWillingness to accept suggestions and corrections on organization and planning issues\nSeeks help to understand and productively work through conflict to keep tasks moving ahead\nUnderstanding that personal performance and actions impact future work opportunities\nGeneral awareness of the \"business\" of electrical engineering as well as the technical design issues\nStrong verbal and written communications skills that are well organized and persuasive\nProficient in MS Word and Excel\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster’s degree in Electrical Engineering - Power Specialty\nPublic speaking experience\nExperience with Microstation or Autocad\nField investigative and start-up experience\nCompensation Range\nAn employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.\nOther Compensation and Benefits\nCarollo is committed to providing employees with a competitive, comprehensive benefits program that provides the support employees and their families need to lead healthy, productive lives.
