If you're passionate about making a difference in this critical field, we invite you to explore a career with Carollo.\nResponsibilities\nHelp execute municipal water and wastewater projects for our Florida clients \nHelp facilitate the design and construction of complex wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects, including the development and execution of budgets, schedules, contract obligations, and quality standards \nPerforming civil engineering work in water and wastewater treatment facilities and conveyance infrastructure, focused on site design project components including site layout, yard piping, roadways, paving and grading, and stormwater infrastructure\nWork on engineering planning and design projects and performs conceptual and preliminary design activities including site visits, overseeing fieldwork, alternatives analysis, and report preparation\nDevelop civil engineering plans and specifications\nPrepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects\nPrepares technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables\nReviews contractor submittals for conformance with contract plans and specifications, and evaluates requests for information \nParticipate in field activities such as pilot testing\nPermitting and alternative analysis\nAssists project managers with permitting submittals for treatment facilities and infrastructure projects including coordination with various governmental agencies\nParticipates in field activities and site reconnaissance\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering\n6 to 12 years of directly-relevant experience in civil engineering \nRegistration as a Professional Engineer\nApplication of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques\nExperience with local utility codes and utility permitting process. Ability to review plans and specifications against local codes. \nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nWork well in a team environment\nHave the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team\nHighly motivated, articulate, and self-starting\nProficient in MS Word and Excel\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster’s degree in civil engineering\nExperience using AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop engineering drawings\nExperience with Geographical Information System (GIS)\nExperience with ICPR4 and SWMM \nCompensation Range\nAn employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.\nOther Compensation and Benefits\nCarollo is committed to providing employees with a competitive, comprehensive benefits program that provides the support employees and their families need to lead healthy, productive lives.
