If you're passionate about making a difference in this critical field, we invite you to explore a career with Carollo.\nResponsibilities\nPlan, schedule, and lead technical assignments for municipal water and wastewater treatment projects and associated infrastructure.\nEvaluate existing treatment facilities, analyze operating data, and develop alternatives and recommendations.\nPerform process and hydraulic calculations to evaluate, size, and select treatment systems and equipment.\nPrepare technical memoranda, reports, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.\nCoordinate the work of other engineering disciplines, designers, technical specialists, and subconsultants.\nManage assigned tasks to meet project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.\nSupport permitting and coordination with regulatory agencies.\nProvide engineering services during construction, including submittal reviews, responses to requests for information, and site visits.\nParticipate in field investigations, condition assessments, pilot testing, and facility startup and commissioning.\nDevelop relationships with utility staff and participate in client meetings and technical presentations.\nAssist with proposals, including developing scopes of work and engineering fee estimates.\nProvide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.\nMay serve as project manager on smaller projects, depending on experience.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related engineering field.\n6 to 12 years of relevant water and wastewater engineering experience, with significant experience in the planning and design of municipal water and/or wastewater treatment facilities.\nExperience delivering municipal water and/or wastewater projects in the Raleigh-Durham market.\nRegistration as a Professional Engineer in North Carolina.\nExperience evaluating and designing municipal water and/or wastewater treatment processes, systems, and equipment.\nExperience preparing engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.\nWorking knowledge of North Carolina design standards and permitting requirements applicable to municipal water and wastewater projects.\nAbility to lead technical assignments, coordinate project staff, and deliver quality work within budgets and schedules.\nSound engineering judgment and the ability to develop practical recommendations.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related engineering field.\nExperience providing engineering services during construction and supporting facility startup and commissioning.\nExperience serving as project manager for smaller municipal water and/or wastewater projects.\nFamiliarity with treatment process or hydraulic modeling software.\nCompensation Range\nAn employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.\nOther Compensation and Benefits\nCarollo is committed to providing employees with a competitive, comprehensive benefits program that provides the support employees and their families need to lead healthy, productive lives.
