As part of our team, you will work on projects related to municipal water and wastewater treatment plants such as plant expansions, regional water quality studies, and critical water reuse projects as well as infrastructure projects including, but not limited to pump stations, pipelines, facility rehabilitation, and various types of studies. We are seeking all experience levels for this position.\nProfessional Engineer Through Senior Engineer Additional Responsibilities:\nExperience delivering and managing water/wastewater infrastructure projects with partial responsibility for budget, schedule, contract obligations, and quality standards.\nAbility to deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints.\nAssist with coordinating sub-consultant work.\nMay serve as project manager on small to medium sized projects and would assume all project manager responsibilities.\nAssist project manager with the planning, scheduling, coordinating, supervising, and reviewing of the work of the project team, including: environmental, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation/controls engineers; drafters, technicians; technical experts; and subconsultants.\nAssist project manager with meeting budget, schedule, and quality goals.\nPerform data analysis, system modeling, and hydraulic calculations to size and select facilities.\nContribute to a culture of effective communication among project teams, clients, partners, and other stakeholders.\nDevelop and maintain relationships with clients, especially at the staff level.\nAssist with proposal preparation, including development of scopes of work and engineering fee estimates.\nProvide on-the-job training and mentoring of project staff and entry level engineers.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related engineering field. Master’s degree is preferred.\nProfessional Engineer license in the State of California.\nAbility to apply critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques to develop options and recommendations to solve technical problems.\nActive in professional associations, including attendance and participation in local, regional and national conferences.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to communicate effectively with clients and project teams.\nWork well in a team environment.\nHighly motivated and self-starting.\nProficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nExperience (vary dependent upon hiring level):\nProfessional Engineer: 4-8 years of experience.\nMid-level Engineer: 6-12 years of experience.\nSenior level Engineer: 12+ years of experience.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering\nFamiliarity with computer applications including ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and water and sewer hydraulic calculations/modeling software (WaterGEMS, InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM, InfoSWMM)\nCompensation Range\n$83,300 to $190,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
