We’re ready to have you join us.\nJoin Our Team - Great Pay & Benefits!\nPay Range $29.50-33.50 hour\nImmersion NDT Technician Level II\nLocation: Clearwater, Florida\nM-F 8 Hour Shifts\nPrimary Function\nThe NDT Level II Immersion Technician is responsible for performing ultrasonic immersion inspections on titanium, aerospace, medical and specialty alloy products to ensure compliance with customer, industry, and company quality standards. This position evaluates product integrity using approved inspection procedures, interprets and documents inspection results, and supports production through the identification and disposition of nonconforming material. The technician is certified to Level II per applicable industry standards and is capable of setting up, calibrating, operating, and troubleshooting immersion inspection equipment while working with minimal supervision.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nPerform ultrasonic immersion inspections in accordance with approved procedures, specifications, and customer requirements.\nSet up, calibrate, verify, and operate immersion inspection equipment and associated testing systems.\nInterpret ultrasonic indications and evaluate results against acceptance criteria.\nIdentify, document, and report defects, discontinuities, and nonconforming material.\nReview work instructions, engineering specifications, blueprints, and customer requirements prior to inspection.\nA Responsible for alloy ID inspections when releasing the product to shipping.\nAccurately complete inspection records, certification documents, and quality reports.\nVerify material traceability and ensure proper handling of inspected products.\nMaintain compliance with NAS 410, customer requirements, and company quality procedures.\nMonitor equipment performance and perform routine system checks and preventive maintenance.\nTroubleshoot equipment, software, and process issues to minimize downtime.\nSupport investigations involving quality concerns and assist with root cause analysis when required.\nCollaborate with production, engineering, and quality personnel to resolve inspection-related issues.\nTrain and mentor Level I technicians assigned.\nMaintain a safe and organized work environment and comply with all safety requirements.\nParticipate in continuous improvement activities focused on quality, productivity, and process reliability.\nREQUIREMENTS\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nCertification as an NDT Level II Ultrasonic Technician in accordance with NAS 410, SNT-TC-1A, or employer-based certification program.\nMinimum 2-5 years of ultrasonic testing experience, preferably in immersion inspection.\nExperience inspecting aerospace, medical, titanium, nickel, stainless steel, or specialty alloy products preferred.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection procedures.\nBasic computer proficiency and experience with quality documentation systems.\nThe above Working Procedure reflects the general details considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job identified and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the job.\nCarpenter Technology Company offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package including life, medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, disability coverage, 401k with company contributions as well as many other options to employees.\nCarpenter Technology Corporation’s policy is to fully and effectively maintain a program of equal employment opportunity and nondiscrimination for all employees, to employ affirmative action for all protected classes, and to recruit and develop the best qualified persons available regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, political affiliation or any other characteristic protected by law.
