Hi, I’m Jason, looking for a Summer 2027 Reliability Engineering Intern. Who Am I? I am a third-generation steel mill worker who takes pride in what Carpenter does and how important every aspect of the business is to every outside element that we use on a daily basis. What Do We Do? Business Unit: VIM Melting We take raw materials and place them inside a vessel that uses an induction coil to melt the raw materials down in a vacuum chamber and to make the material as pure as possible for aerospace and medical grade stainless steels. Ongoing Projects Safeguarding out tanks for employee entry and work, sledgehammer elimination with use of new and improved tools, working and walking surfaces throughout the shop, safety implementation changes and updates.
