Building on its history of innovation, Carpenter Technology’s wrought and powder technology capabilities support a range of next-generation products and manufacturing techniques, including novel magnetic materials and additive manufacturing.\nThis is a remote position candidate must live in the Greater Los Angeles area (preferably in the Orange County area)\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE SENIOR SPECIAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER:\nManages an existing sustained customer base with a minimum sustained territory size of $30 million up to $75 million.\n\nTerritory will include strategic and platinum accounts.\n\nOutside sales rep in the geographic territory of Southern California.\n\nGenerates a minimum of 5% new profitable sales each fiscal year.\n\nSpends up to 25% of time focusing on growth through new & existing customers via new and existing products.\n\nManages time and territory in conjunction with manager on a monthly basis.\n\nPerform all other duties and special projects as assigned.\n\nSales focus will serve customers in the aerospace fasteners, space, defense, aerospace structural, aerospace distribution, medical, energy and industrial markets.\n\nREQUIRED FOR THE SENIOR SPECIAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER:\nHigh School Diploma required. Four-year college degree in Marketing or related discipline preferred.\n\n10+ years of sales/relationship management experience.\n\nProficient knowledge of markets and pricing practices/policies.\n\nAbility to be flexible and organized when faced with frequently changing priorities.\n\nExcellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills. Strong quantitative and data-driven decision-making skills.\n\nProven ability to resolve conflicts and arrive at good business decisions.\n\nPREFERRED FOR THE SENIOR SPECIAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER\nCustomer service orientation.\n\nExperience with effectively managing projects or teams. Forecast and plans resource requirements for projects.\n\nexperience interpreting internal / external business issues with the ability to recommend best practices.\n\nexperience monitoring and controlling cost for own work and may need to manage costs/budgets for large projects/areas.\n\nEnhanced knowledge of product offerings, product functionality, and alloy applications.\n\nEnhanced knowledge of markets and pricing practices/policies.\n\nStrong goal and results orientation; high energy.\n\nAbility to organize and prioritize tasks.\n\nStrong quantitative and data-driven decision-making skills.\n\nAbility to utilize knowledge of systems and processes to optimize workflow.\n\nWell-developed problem-solving skills.\n\nEffectiveness with multiple information systems, both mainframe and PC-based.
