Building on its history of innovation, Carpenter Technology’s wrought and powder technology capabilities support a range of next-generation products and manufacturing techniques, including novel magnetic materials and additive manufacturing.\nStaff Accountant II\nPrincipal Purpose of Position:\nThe position entails performance of the following responsibilities under direct supervision:\nMaintain assigned Sarbanes-Oxley internal control process documentation and ensure that key internal controls defined in the documentation are being performed without exception on a periodic basis. Related tasks include monthly revenue testing, SSAE16 service organization controls, quarterly signoffs and others as assigned.\nPreparation of government surveys and filings.\nPreparation of employee benefit plan financial statements and coordination of external audits.\nAssist with statutory international audit requirements and tie out of financial information.\nParticipate in the monthly closing process by distributing inter-company reports and other key reports.\nContribute to the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements.\nSupport Corporate Accounting’s external reporting requirements by assisting in the completion of corporate information packages and preparation of applicable footnote disclosures for Forms 10-Q and 10-K and earnings release documents.\nProvide support for internal and external auditors.\nUtilize financial reporting tools including the SAP general ledger system and the Hyperion database and utilize company data retrieval tools necessary to perform assignments.\nPerform all other duties and special projects as assigned.\nEducation and/or Training:\nFour-year college degree in accounting\nOne to three years performing routine assignments.
