Today, we continue to lead because we have a world-class, diverse workforce that puts the customer at the center of everything we do.\nAbout the role\nThis role will be responsible for Airside Product development(AHU / FCU / CRAH / CRAC / Fan-wall products), Product engineering, New product development programs.\nKey Job deliverables\nLead design and development of new airside products and platform enhancements.\n\nDevelop product concepts, layouts, detailed designs, and engineering documentation.\n\nTranslate customer and business requirements into engineering specifications.\n\nOwn product engineering deliverables throughout the product development lifecycle.\n\nEngineering Design : Perform engineering calculations related to Airflow, Pressure drop, Fan selection, Acoustic performance, Coil Design, Structural integrity. Create and review: GA drawings, Manufacturing drawings, BOMs, Design documents, Technical specifications, ETOs, Value engineering\n\nCross Functional Collaboration : Work with Sales, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, Product Management, Lab teams, Global Engineering teams. Support factory launch and production readiness activities.\n\nStrong technical know-how and ownership in data center/non-DC airside cooling products\n\nEDUCATION & EXPERINCE PREFERRED:\nBachelors / Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.\n10- 15 years Experience in HVAC product design and development Airside products (AHU / FCU / CRAH / CRAC / Fan-wall products), Product engineering, New product development programs\nEssential Competencies/ Primary Skill Set:\n1. Airside Engineering & HVAC Expertise\nStrong technical knowledge of airside products including AHU, FCU, CRAH, CRAC, fan-wall, ducted and related HVAC systems.\n\nSound understanding of airflow dynamics, pressure drop calculations, fan selection, heat transfer, psychrometrics, IAQ and thermal performance.\n\nAbility to perform engineering analysis and optimize product performance, efficiency and reliability.\n\nKnowledge of data center airside cooling applications and high-density cooling requirements is preferred.\n\n2. Product Development & System Engineering\nHands-on experience in new product development from concept through production release.\n\nStrong understanding of stage-gate / NPD processes and engineering design methodologies.\n\nAbility to translate customer requirements into product specifications and engineering deliverables.\n\nExperience in product architecture definition, design reviews, prototype development and product validation.\n\n3. Mechanical Design & Engineering Analysis\nExperience in airside product design, component selection and engineering calculations.\n\nAbility to perform airflow, fan performance, pressure drop and thermal analysis.\n\nUnderstanding of product performance optimization, design robustness and reliability requirements.\n\nFamiliarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for cost principles.\n\n4. Product Validation & Testing\nExperience in developing validation plans and supporting product qualification activities.\n\nAbility to analyze test data, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.\n\nKnowledge of product performance testing, reliability testing and engineering problem solving.\n\nStrong focus on delivering quality and first-pass validation success.\n\n5. Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge\nWorking knowledge of relevant HVAC industry standards such as AHRI, ASHRAE and ISO.\n\nUnderstanding of product certification, compliance requirements and design verification processes.\n\nAbility to ensure engineering designs comply with applicable regulations and customer specifications.\n\n6. Design Tools & Digital Engineering\nProficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, Inventor or equivalent platforms.\n\nExperience with AutoCAD, BOM management and PLM systems.\n\nAbility to create and review engineering drawings, specifications and product documentation.\n\nFamiliarity with engineering databases and product configuration tools.\n\n7. Program Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration\nAbility to manage multiple engineering activities and deliver to committed timelines.\n\nStrong collaboration skills while working with manufacturing, sourcing, quality, laboratory and product management teams.\n\nExcellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.\n\nAbility to work effectively in a global engineering environment.\n\nDesirable Competencies/ Secondary Skill Set:\n1. Data Center Cooling Applications\nExperience in Data Center AHU, CRAH, fan-wall systems and mission-critical cooling solutions.\n\nUnderstanding of containment strategies, redundancy concepts and high-density cooling applications.\n\nExposure to hyperscale and colocation data center cooling requirements.\n\n2. Advanced Engineering & Simulation Tools\nKnowledge of CFD analysis for airflow and thermal optimization.\n\nExposure to FEA analysis for structural assessment and product durability.\n\nFamiliarity with engineering simulation and virtual validation tools.\n\n3. Cost Optimization & Localization\nExperience in value engineering, cost reduction and product localization initiatives.\n\nUnderstanding of supplier selection, alternate components and cost-driven design decisions.\n\nAbility to support regional product competitiveness through localization activities.\n\n4. Manufacturing & Industrialization Support\nUnderstanding of manufacturing processes related to airside products.\n\nExposure to factory launch activities, pilot builds and production readiness assessments.\n\nExperience supporting smooth transition from development to manufacturing.\n\n5. Controls & System Integration\nBasic understanding of HVAC controls, sensors and system integration requirements.\n\nFamiliarity with product selection tools and digital product configuration platforms.\n\nUnderstanding of connected and intelligent HVAC solutions is desirable.\n\n6. Continuous Improvement & Certifications\nExposure to Lean, Six Sigma or structured problem-solving methodologies.\n\nProfessional certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt, PMP or equivalent are desirable.\n\nParticipation in technical forums, professional bodies or industry standards activities is an added advantage.\n\n7.
