This position combines technical expertise, engineering design, and customer collaboration to develop tailored solutions that support a wide range of commercial and industrial applications.\nAs a trusted technical advisor, you will partner closely with sales, operations, and customers to evaluate project requirements, design optimized rental solutions, and ensure successful project execution. You'll leverage your engineering knowledge to select equipment, develop system designs, create technical documentation, and provide expert support throughout the project lifecycle.\nThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineering professional who enjoys solving real-world challenges, collaborating across teams, and making a direct impact on customer success. If you're passionate about innovative solutions, technical problem solving, and delivering exceptional customer experiences, we'd love to hear from you.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and maintain an expert-level knowledge of current and legacy rental systems products.\nCollaborate with sales and customers directly to support rental applications across a broad spectrum.\nAnalyze and review engineering specifications to ensure that the planned equipment usage will satisfy the customer's cooling, heating, and electrical needs.\nDevelop project proposals based on customer needs and provide application design assistance.\nPlanned, generate, release, and maintain engineering specification sheets, technical documentation, and specialized product documentation for all rental systems product offerings.\nPrepare standardized installation layouts needed in assisting the sales team.\nGenerate request for quote (RFQ) documents and secure bid proposals for both purchasing new equipment and packaging of equipment for rental use.\nMaintain equipment purchasing files on all new equipment for traceability including creating specification sheets.\nTravel to project and vendor sites (when required) to act as a technical expert on behalf of Carrier Rental Systems.\nPerform load calculations, based on known customer data to assist sales in accurately specifying equipment.\nAssist in defining equipment nomenclature and maintaining documents associated with all rental equipment.\nRequired Qualifications\n3+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.\n1+ years of experience working with HVAC systems and technologies.\n1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD or similar engineering software.\n1+ years of experience reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical blueprints, schematics, and control system documentation.\nHigh School Diploma / GED.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Architectural, Civil, or other related field).\nExceptional communication skills (written and oral).\nDeep experience with temporary engineering solutions or HVAC applications.\nEngineering degree with HVAC emphasis preferred.\nAdvanced ability to adapt and react in a very fast-paced work environment.\nTravel Required: Up to 15%\nPay Range\nThe annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.Other Compensation\nThis position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
