Leadership that respects family time, and a team that looks out for one another.\nScope of Position\nAs a Controls Engineer, you will be crucial to ALC’s business through the designing of advanced building automation systems created specifically for each individual customer. We are looking for someone who works well in a team and has excellent problem-solving, time management, and multi-tasking skills.\nWhat you’ll do\nUnder minimal direction, plan, prioritize and manage multiple engineering projects; prioritizing tasks to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met.\nManage several components of a large scale, complex, or significant engineering project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget.\nManage major responsibilities across multiple engineering disciplines on a regular basis.\nPerform complex engineering activities that may not be attributed to a defined discipline and provides guidance to less senior employees.\nDesign and program building automation systems, site-specific configuration of control systems, and control algorithms.\nAdhere to project requirements and company and customer standards of design, programming, and implementation.\nCreate a clear design document for project teams with technical information.\nDocument and communicate the building automation system design and revisions.\nDevelop graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems.\nTest programming and interfaces prior to implantation.\nProvide technical support to sales representatives to ensure customers’ needs are met.\nIdentify and communicate project opportunities and risks.\nSupport of functional testing for building systems.\nJobsite visits if necessary to aid in project support\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED\n1+ years of overall HVAC controls experience in the field or office.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, ideally with a concentration in HVAC&R.\nProficient with advanced building automation software, such as WebCTRL, and installing building automation controls.\nExpert with TCP/IP networks including wireless technology.\nExperience interacting with a large and diverse number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of multiple disciplines.\nAbility to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.\nExcellent communication skills as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.\nProficient with Microsoft 365 applications.\nAt Automated Logic, you’ll find the kind of work that challenges your mind, respects your time, and rewards your mastery - in a place that feels like home.\nPay Range\nThe annual salary for this position is between $53,000.00 - $106,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.Other Compensation\nThis position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
