Work with us is being a part of a big team driven to execute and deliver the future of transport today.\nWE ARE LOOKING FOR\nAddvolt is seeking a hands-on and customer-focused Field Application Engineer to join our Systems & Application Engineering team. The ideal candidate will support the technical integration, installation, commissioning and validation of Carrier solutions with vehicle, trailer and transport refrigeration OEM platforms.\nThis role combines field engineering with application and system integration. It requires close collaboration with customers, OEM engineering teams, bodybuilders, installers, service organizations, suppliers and in-house product-development teams to ensure that each integration is safe, robust, documented and ready for deployment.\nWe are looking for a proactive professional with strong troubleshooting skills, a system-level mindset and the flexibility to support projects at customer and partner sites in an international environment.\nAs a Field Application Engineer, you will:\nSupport the technical integration of Addvolt/Carrier products with trucks, trailers, transport refrigeration units and OEM electrical or mechanical interfaces. \nReview customer and OEM application requirements, interface specifications, installation constraints and vehicle configurations. \nPerform site surveys and technical assessments to confirm installation feasibility and identify required adaptations. \nSupport installation, commissioning and functional validation activities at customer, OEM, bodybuilder and service-partner sites. \nDefine and verify electrical, mechanical and communication interfaces, including power connections, low-voltage signals and CAN communication where applicable. \nExecute integration and compatibility tests, document results and ensure that acceptance criteria are met. \nDiagnose field issues using technical documentation, measurements, diagnostic tools, system data and structured root-cause analysis. \nCoordinate issue resolution with Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Embedded Software, Digital, Validation, Manufacturing, Quality and Service teams. \nProvide technical guidance and training to customers, installers, service technicians and OEM partners. \nCreate and maintain installation instructions, commissioning checklists, compatibility records, service reports and lessons learned. \nCapture field feedback and translate it into clear engineering requirements, product improvements and corrective actions. \nSupport pilot installations, field trials, product launches and follow-the-fleet activities across different markets. \n\nCANDIDATE VALUES AND QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering or a related field. \n3+ years of experience in field engineering, systems integration, commissioning, technical service, application engineering or product validation. \nGood understanding of multidisciplinary systems involving electrical, electronic, mechanical and software interfaces. \nPractical experience with installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and validation in customer or industrial environments. \nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings and technical specifications. \nStructured problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills, with a strong focus on safety, quality and customer impact. \nExcellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to work directly with customers and external partners. \nAbility to work autonomously, manage priorities and coordinate activities across multiple teams and locations. \nAvailability for domestic and international travel. \nFluent English, written and spoken. \nNice to have:\nExperience in transport refrigeration, commercial vehicles, trailers, mobile power systems or vehicle electrification. \nExperience working with vehicle OEMs, bodybuilders, transport refrigeration manufacturers, installers or service networks. \nKnowledge of CAN bus systems and diagnostic or communication tools. \nFamiliarity with telematics, remote monitoring and data-analysis platforms. \nKnowledge of functional safety, electrical safety, EMC, vehicle integration or applicable automotive and machinery standards. \nWHY ADDVOLT\nJoin Addvolt at an important stage of growth within Carrier and contribute to the development of intelligent transport solutions. \nWork in a growing team where your decisions and engineering work can have a meaningful impact on products and customers. \nContribute to a greener and more sustainable future with quieter, cleaner transport refrigeration solutions. \nPick, prototype and explore emerging technologies and follow it’s implementation and growth in scaling a product worldwide;
