Together with Carrier, we are accelerating the transition to a more sustainable, efficient and intelligent cold chain.\nWe are looking for an Hardware Engineer with strong technical expertise in electronics design and a passion for turning concepts into robust, manufacturable products.\nThe ideal candidate will be responsible for designing schematics, developing PCB layouts, and executing PCB validation and testing activities, using Altium as the main design tool.\nWe value a proactive attitude, good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with different areas of the business.\nA passionate professional that wants to participate in the new cycle of clean energies who is looking for an ambitious challenge.\nYou will be able to be in close contact with stakeholders to determine the requirements and improvements for the new designs.\nRESPONSABILITIES\nDesign electronic schematics for power electronics and control boards, based on system-level requirements and specifications\nDevelop PCB layouts in Altium Designer, considering signal integrity, EMC/EMI, thermal management, and manufacturability (DFM/DFA)\nSelect components (connectors, ICs, passives, power devices) and define footprints, ensuring availability and compliance with project requirements\nDefine and execute PCB test plans, including bring-up, functional testing, debugging, and validation of prototypes\nSupport bring-up and troubleshooting of new boards, using lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, power supplies, thermal camera) to identify and resolve issues\nCollaborate with firmware, system, and mechanical engineers to ensure correct hardware-software-mechanical integration\nPrepare and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, layout files, BOMs, test reports, and design reviews\nSupport manufacturing and industrialization activities, working closely with PCB/PCBA suppliers to resolve production issues\nEnsure designs comply with relevant industry standards and quality/safety requirements\nStay current with industry trends, components, and best practices in electronics design, leveraging new capabilities internally\nCANDIDATE VALUES AND QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field\n3+ years of experience in hardware design, schematics capture, and PCB layout\nProficiency in Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout\nSolid understanding of analog and digital circuit design, power electronics fundamentals, and signal integrity principles\nExperience with PCB testing and validation, including use of lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, power supply, thermal camera)\nKnowledge of EMC/EMI design practices and relevant standards\nAbility to read and interpret datasheets, component specifications, and application notes\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work constructively with diverse teams\nStrong verbal and written English skills\nShare Addvolt values - People, Sustainability, Innovation, Passion and Determination\nNice to Have\nKnowledge of the transportation sector\nExperience with high-voltage and high-power electronics design\nExperience with DFMEA, DFM/DFA reviews, and industrialization of electronic products\nFamiliarity with automotive/industrial standards (e.g., IPC, ISO, UNECE regulations)\nExperience with thermal simulation and/or signal integrity simulation tools\nBENEFITS\nAddvolt is poised for explosive growth in the emerging intelligent transportation space, and this is a ground floor opportunity\nIndividuals who shine and exceed expectations will be given all the opportunities of any employee at Addvolt.
