This role is responsible for SAP Ariba PR/PO management, purchase order creation and modification, requisition approval support, and non-technical procurement helpdesk support. The analyst will partner with business requesters, approvers, category managers, suppliers, procurement operations, master data, AMS, and Digital / IT teams to ensure timely, compliant, and customer-focused procurement execution across global regions.\nKey Responsibilities\nAriba PR/PO Management\nManage purchase requisition and purchase order transactions in SAP Ariba, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with procurement policies.\nReview PR/PO status, resolve transaction blocks, follow up on pending actions, and support timely movement of requests through the procurement workflow.\nCoordinate with requesters, approvers, category teams, suppliers, master data, and AMS teams to resolve transaction-related issues.\nMaintain clear status visibility, aging trackers, action logs, and escalation notes for open PR/PO items.\nPO Creation & Modification\nCreate, modify, cancel, and monitor purchase orders in line with approved requisitions, buying channels, supplier information, and business instructions.\nSupport updates related to quantity, price, supplier, delivery information, accounting details, and other PO corrections based on approved inputs.\nCoordinate with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies in supplier records, catalog items, contract references, pricing, delivery, or invoice-relevant information.\nEnsure PO changes are documented, approved where required, and compliant with procurement controls.\nPR Approval Support\nMonitor purchase requisition approval workflows and follow up with approvers to reduce cycle time and aging.\nValidate that PRs contain required information, business justification, category alignment, supplier details, and supporting documentation before approval progression.\nSupport requesters with guidance on PR corrections, approval routes, rejected requisitions, and missing information.\nEscalate delayed or high-priority approvals through the agreed governance path.\nNon-Technical Helpdesk Support\nProvide first-level non-technical procurement helpdesk support for requesters, approvers, suppliers, and internal procurement users.\nRespond to user queries related to PR creation, PO status, PR approvals, supplier onboarding status, buying channels, catalogs, and basic Ariba navigation.\nRoute technical system issues to AMS / Digital / IT support teams with clear problem statements, supporting evidence, and business impact details.\nMaintain knowledge articles, SOPs, FAQs, process maps, and user guidance to improve self-service and reduce repeat queries.\nReporting, Controls & Continuous Improvement\nTrack operational KPIs including PR/PO cycle time, approval aging, PO modification volume, supplier onboarding turnaround time, helpdesk volume, SLA attainment, and rework drivers.\nSupport audit readiness by maintaining accurate documentation, transaction notes, approval evidence, and control adherence.\nIdentify recurring issues and recommend process simplification, standardization, automation, training, or governance improvements.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives across procurement operations, supplier enablement, and Ariba user support.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, IT, or related discipline; equivalent practical experience may be considered.\n4+ years of experience in procurement operations, P2P, shared services, supplier enablement, vendor master data, or SAP Ariba operations.\nWorking knowledge of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, approval workflows, supplier onboarding, and procurement helpdesk operations.\nExperience supporting business requesters, approvers, suppliers, category teams, master data, AMS, Digital / IT, or procurement operations stakeholders.\nStrong attention to detail, follow-up discipline, documentation quality, stakeholder communication, Excel / reporting capability, and issue-resolution skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with SAP Ariba Buying & Invoicing, Guided Buying, Supplier Lifecycle & Performance, Ariba Network, catalogs, or supplier master-data operations.\nExperience working in a global procurement CoE, shared-services, or region-agnostic operating model\nExposure to procurement controls, audit documentation, duplicate supplier prevention, approval governance, SLA tracking, and operational dashboards.\nAbility to create SOPs, knowledge articles, process maps, trackers, training content, andcontinuous-improvementrecommendations.\nLean Six Sigma, procurement certification, SAP Ariba exposure, or project-management experience preferred.\nSuccess Measures / KPIs\nImproved PR/PO cycle time, transaction accuracy, and aging reduction.\nImproved PR approval follow-up discipline and reduced delayed approvals.\nTimely PO creation, modification, cancellation, and status resolution.\nReduced supplier onboarding cycle time, rework, and incomplete submissions.\nHelpdesk SLA adherence, improved user experience, and reduction in repeat queries.\nImproved audit readiness, documentation quality, and process-control adherence.\nKey Stakeholders\nBusiness requesters and approvers across regions\nCategory managers and regional / global procurement teams\nProcurement Operations and Global SCM CoE\nSupplier Enablement, Master Data, Compliance, Tax, Banking, and Legal stakeholders\nSAP Ariba AMS, Digital / IT, and suppliers\nCarrier EEO Statement and Accommodations Process\nCarrier is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
