Today, we continue to lead because we have a world-class, diverse workforce that puts the customer at the center of everything we do.\nAbout this role\nThe Quality Auditor is an hourly role responsible for inspecting and auditing products and processes to ensure they meet Carrier's quality standards. Working under general supervision, this role performs in-process and final audits, documents results and escalates non-conformances for containment.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerforms in-process, final and layered process audits against control plans and standards.\nInspects products and components using gauges, fixtures and measurement equipment.\nDocuments audit results, defects and non-conformances accurately in quality systems.\nIdentifies, tags and segregates non-conforming material and escalates for disposition.\nSupports containment activities and verifies effectiveness of corrective actions.\nPartners with production teams to resolve quality issues at the source.\nMaintains calibration status and proper use of inspection equipment.\nSupports continuous-improvement and defect-reduction initiatives.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh School diploma/GED\n5+ years of quality inspection or auditing experience in a manufacturing environment.\n3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).\nAbility to stand, bend, reach and perform repetitive motions for the full shift; lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with or without reasonable accommodation.\nAvailability to work rotating shifts, weekends and overtime based on production needs.\nPreferred Qualifications\nTechnical/Associate degree or quality certification\nCertified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent certification.\nExperience with CMM, vision systems or advanced measurement equipment.\nKnowledge of ISO 9001 and layered process audits.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, control plans and inspection instructions.\nProficiency with measurement and inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, fixtures).\nWorking knowledge of quality systems, non-conformance handling and documentation.\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to make sound judgments on product acceptance.\nThe Carrier Way - Key Competencies\nThis role is expected to demonstrate our Carrier Way behaviors - Passion for Customers · Play to Win · Choose Speed · Dare to Disrupt · Achieve Results · Build the Best Teams.\nCore competencies: Focus on Safety & Quality · Drive for Results · Collaboration & Teamwork · Effective Communication.\nBenefits\nEmployees are eligible for benefits, including:\nHealth Care benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision; wellness incentives \nRetirement benefits \nTime Off and Leave: Paid vacation days, up to 15 days; paid sick days, up to 5 days; paid personal leave, up to 5 days; paid holidays, up to 13 days; birth and adoption leave; parental leave; family and medical leave; bereavement leave; jury duty; military leave; purchased vacation \nDisability: Short-term and long-term disability \nLife Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment \nTax-Advantaged Accounts: Health Savings Account; Healthcare Spending Account; Dependent Care Spending Account\nTuition Assistance \nTo learn more about our benefits offering, please click here: Work With Us | Carrier Corporate The specific benefits available to any employee may vary depending on state and local laws and eligibility factors, such as date of hire and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.\nPay Range\nThe hourly rate for this position is between $24.00 - $48.00 per hour.
