Together with Carrier, we are accelerating the transition to a more sustainable, efficientand intelligent cold chain.\nYOUR MISSION\nAs a Software Engineer at Addvolt, you will design, build and maintain the software that powers our connected, electrified fleet solutions - from device connectivity and data pipelines to the platforms our customers use every day. You will work across the full stack, collaborating closely with product, hardware and data teams to ship reliable, scalable features.\nDesign, develop, test and maintain full-stack features across our platform (frontend, backend and APIs).\nBuild and maintain cloud infrastructure and services on AWS (e.g. EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda), ensuring our systems are scalable, secure and cost-efficient.\nWork with data flowing from hardware devices (CAN, cellular/LTE, MQTT) through backend services and databases, all the way to the UI.\nParticipate in the full software development lifecycle: requirements discussion, design, implementation, code review, testing, deployment and monitoring.\nWrite clean, well-tested, maintainable code and contribute to improving our engineering practices, CI/CD pipelines and system architecture.\nCollaborate with product managers, designers and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.\nTroubleshoot, debug and resolve issues across the stack, including production incidents when needed.\nContribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.\nWHO YOU ARE\nDegree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience).\n\nSolid experience as a Software Engineer/Developer, with strong fundamentals in at least one backend language (e.g. Python, Node.js, Go) and modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React).\n\nMandatory, hands-on experience with AWS (e.g. EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, IAM) - you are comfortable deploying, operating and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure in production.\n\nExperience with containerization (Docker) and comfortable working in Linux environments.\n\nFamiliarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases, and with building and consuming REST/GraphQL APIs.\n\nUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git) and software testing practices.\n\nStrong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in IoT, connected devices and fleet/energy management domains.\n\nGood communication skills, comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, hardware, data).\n\nOwnership mindset - comfortable taking a feature from idea to production and supporting it afterwards.\n\nFluent in English (written and spoken); Portuguese is a plus.\n\nNICE TO HAVE\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation).\n\nExposure to data engineering/ETL pipelines or analytics platforms.\n\nExperience with IoT protocols (MQTT, CAN) or embedded/connected device integrations.\n\nExperience with Figma or similar tools for UI collaboration.\n\nWHAT WE OFFER\nThe opportunity to build software that powers real-world, cutting-edge automation and electrification technology, in a fast-growing, mission-driven company.\n\nA collaborative, technical environment where you'll work closely with hardware, product and data experts every day.\n\nOwnership over meaningful features and real opportunity for technical growth.\n\nCompetitive compensation package, aligned with experience.\n\nFlexible working model.\n\nOur Commitment\nOur greatest assets are the expertise, creativity, and passion of our employees.
