Today, we continue to lead because we have a world-class, diverse workforce that puts the customer at the center of everything we do.\nAbout the new role\nA Heat Transfer Staff Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing heat exchanger and components where heat transfer is a critical factor. This role involves applying principles of heat transfer, refrigeration, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics to ensure efficient thermal performance in Carrier products and equipment.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAs a heat transfer engineer, she or he will be responsible for:\n1. Thermal System Design & Analysis\nDesign and evaluate heat exchangers, cooling systems, insulation, and thermal interfaces.\nPerform detailed thermal calculations using conduction, convection, and radiation principles.\nDevelop simulation models (e.g., CFD) to predict temperature distribution and heat flow.\n2. Simulation & Modeling\nUse engineering software such as ANSYS Fluent and MATLAB to conduct thermal simulations.\nValidate models with testing and refine designs accordingly.\n3. Testing & Validation\nPlan and execute thermal experiments and bench tests.\nAnalyze temperature data, heat flux, and performance trends.\nTroubleshoot thermal issues in prototypes or existing systems.\n4. Cross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with system engineering teams to integrate thermal solutions into products.\nProvide thermal expertise during design reviews and engineering decision-making.\n5. Documentation & Reporting\nPrepare engineering reports, technical documentation, specifications, and test procedures.\nCommunicate analysis outcomes clearly to engineering and management stakeholders.\nRequirements\nAs a minimum you must have:\nPeople who are heat transfer engineer level have a minimum must have:\nMaster’s degree or PHD in Refrigeration Engineering, Thermal Engineering or related field.\n>4 years work experience in this area.\nStrong understanding of refrigeration, heat transfer, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.\nExperience with thermal analysis tools (ANSYS Fluent etc.)\nStrong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.\nBenefits\nWe are committed to offering competitive benefits programs for all of our employees, and enhancing our programs when necessary.\nOur commitment to you\nOur greatest assets are the expertise, creativity and passion of our employees.
