The Carrier internship experience offers interns an environment that provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience, and the opportunity to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths in efforts to assist Carrier in achieving its business strategy.\nAssociates will apply scientific principles to innovate, design, develop, and implement technologies, components, sub-systems, tools, and methodologies to ensure compliance to specifications, requirements, and best-practices to product operation and reliability. Ensures novel ideas and implementations are captured and protected using applicable IP processes and tools.\nContribute to product design improvements, focusing on complex components within new product development projects.\nLead and/or support initiatives related to combustion safety and airflow optimization.\nEnhance test fixtures and methods used for performance validation.\nDevelop and document test procedures for evaluating new designs.\nWork independently with guidance from senior engineers\nThe candidate’s responsibilities include but are not limited to\n Product design centering on a complex component, part of a larger project, or continuous improvement opportunity.\nDevelop and document test procedures to evaluate new designs.\nLead and/or support projects within combustion or air flow optimization\nWork independently with guidance from senior engineers.\nBasic Qualifications\nMust be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or any engineering field.\nMust have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.\nMust be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.\nPreferred Qualifications\nKnowledge of combustion or HVAC products and principles\nStrong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills\nSelf-driven and proactive\nAbility to communicate effectively to peers and supervisors.\nTeam player and willing to collaborate with others on projects.\nPay Range\nThe annual salary for this position is between $43,500.00 - $87,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.Other Compensation\nThis position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
