Technology that supports the buildings and industry of today and tomorrow requires a wide range of talents and skill sets.\nAbout This Role\nAs a Lead Controls Engineer, you will be crucial to ALC’s business through the designing of advanced building automation systems created specifically for each individual customer. We are looking for someone who works well in a team and has excellent problem-solving, time management, and multi-tasking skills. You will work on solving complex problems and lead smaller projects with less experienced engineers to help develop their skills.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign and program increasingly advanced building automation systems, site-specific configuration of control system, and control algorithms. \nAdhere to project requirements and company and customer standards of design, programming, and implementation.\nCreate a clear design document for project teams with technical information.\nDocument and communicate the building automation system design and revisions.\nDevelop graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems.\nTest programming and interfaces prior to implantation.\nProvide technical support to sales representatives to ensure customers’ needs are met.\nIdentify and communicate project opportunities and risks.\nSupport of functional testing for complex building systems. \nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree with 4+ years of building automation/ HVAC experience OR Associate Degree with 6+ years of building automation/ HVAC experience OR High School Diploma or GED with 8+ years of building automation/ HVAC experience.\nMust have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA. No visa sponsoring available.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAdvanced degree in an Engineering or Construction discipline.\nExperience in HVAC controls, Building Automation, or related industry.\nRockwell PLC experience (Controls/ Compact Logix)\nIgnition SCADA experience\nProficient with primary functions of building automation system software and associated engineering tools, Automated Logic suites preferred.\nStrong working knowledge of complex Automated Logic software, hardware, peripherals, add-ons, and services.\nProficient with third-party communication protocols used in building automation, such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2, etc.\nUnderstanding with Enterprise IP networks and Microsoft Visio, or similar software.\nProficient with written sequences of operations, diagrammatic depictions of systems.\nAble to translate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. \nCapable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.\nPay Range\nThe annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.Other Compensation\nThis position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
