As a Master Field Engineer, you are the primary technical owner for turn-key project delivery. A work home.” If that sounds like you, welcome home.\nThis is an onsite role in Reno NV and requires working at our clients’ sites.\nKey Responsibilities\nEnd-to-End Ownership: Own the full execution of professional building automation installations-from field mobilization through final commissioning-under any operational conditions.\nMission-Critical Delivery: Install and deliver complex, high-risk, and business-critical systems. You serve as the final technical authority, resolving the toughest controls and integration challenges.\nTeam Accountability: Take ownership of quality outcomes for the entire field team. You set the execution standards and hold team members accountable for workmanship, documentation accuracy, and customer commitments.\nCapability Building: Actively develop the next generation of field leaders. You provide the mentorship, coaching, and technical leadership required to elevate performance across all experience levels.\nBranch Risk Management: Partner with Supervisors, Project Managers, and Sales to assess and mitigate technical, schedule, and contractual risks across the branch project portfolio.\nMastery & Growth: Demonstrate total mastery of ALC products, system architectures, and ASHRAE guidelines. Apply this expertise to ensure safe, high-performance system delivery across diverse customer environments.\nTravel & Flexibility: Travel as needed to support dynamic field demands. You remain adaptable to changing schedules and priorities, recognizing that field execution directly impacts the company's reputation and retention.\nBasic Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\n6+ years of hands-on experience in the Building Automation or HVAC Controls industry.\nHold a valid, current Driver’s License and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier.\nLift items up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as squat and climb for extended periods.\nCapable of working over 8 feet above grade and proficient in the use of ladders and motorized lift equipment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nDegree or Technical Certificate in HVAC, Controls, or a related field.\nAct as a technical authority and mentor to junior/mid-level engineers while driving continuous process improvements and high-performance standards.\nLead the full turnkey delivery, commissioning, and expert-level troubleshooting of advanced DDC and integrated building automation platforms.\nDemonstrate expert-level proficiency in secure TCP/IP networking and the seamless integration of diverse, broad-scale building technologies.\nServe as the primary senior contact for escalated issues and high-stakes technical discussions, providing tailored solutions and advanced end-user training.\nOversee turnkey delivery of projects with full accountability for quality and performance.\nAdditional information:\nThis position doesn’t support immigration sponsorship\nPay Range\nThe annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually.
