For more information, visit corporate.carrier.com or follow Carrier on social media at @Carrier.\nAbout this Role\nThe Shipping Auditor is responsible for verifying the accuracy of all outbound shipments of commercial HVAC equipment, components, and accessories. This role ensures that products, documentation, labeling, and transportation requirements meet company standards and customer specifications before shipment. The Shipping Auditor works closely with Shipping, Warehouse, Production, and Transportation teams to maintain high levels of quality, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.\nResponsibilities\nAudit outbound shipments to ensure correct products, quantities, serial numbers, and customer requirements are met.\n\nVerify shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, shipping labels, export documents, and carrier paperwork.\n\nConfirm units are properly configured, packaged, labeled, and secured for transportation.\n\nInspect HVAC equipment for visible damage, completeness, and shipping readiness.\n\nValidate inventory transactions and investigate discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.\n\nConduct final shipment quality checks before carrier pickup.\n\nEnsure compliance with company shipping procedures, safety standards, and transportation regulations.\n\nCollaborate with warehouse personnel, material handlers, production teams, and carriers to resolve shipment issues.\n\nMaintain accurate audit records and generate reports on shipping quality, inventory variances, and compliance metrics.\n\nIdentify trends in shipping errors and recommend process improvements.\n\nSupport cycle counts, inventory audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nAssist with customer claim investigations related to shipping shortages, damages, or incorrect shipments.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED\n\n2+ years of experience in shipping, warehousing, logistics, inventory control, or auditing\n\n1+ years of experience working with commercial HVAC or industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment, including experience with shipping documentation and freight carrier processes\n\n2+ years of experience or demonstrated proficiency in data entry using a database or computer software\n\n2+ years of experience using word processing and spreadsheet software, such as Microsoft Word and Excel\n\n2+ years of experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, or SAP\n\nAbility to obtain or currently hold a Forklift Certification\n\nAbility to work overtime and weekends as needed\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nAssociate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.\n\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.\n\nExcellent problem-solving and communication abilities.\n\nUnderstanding of commercial HVAC products and components.\n\nKnowledge of inventory management and quality control practices.\n\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.\n\nAbility to analyze data and identify operational trends.\n\nFamiliarity with DOT, freight, and transportation regulations.\n\nAbility to obtain or currently hold a Certified Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) Driver certification\n\nMaintain good attendance\n\nDrives for results\n\nDecisive, resolves issues\n\nPromotes and supports change\n\nBenefits\nEmployees are eligible for benefits, including:\nHealth Care benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision; wellness incentives\n\nRetirement benefits\n\nTime Off and Leave: Paid vacation days, up to 15 days; paid sick days, up to 5 days; paid personal leave, up to 5 days; paid holidays, up to 13 days; birth and adoption leave; parental leave; family and medical leave; bereavement leave; jury duty; military leave; purchased vacation\n\nDisability: Short-term and long-term disability\n\nLife Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment\n\nTax-Advantaged Accounts: Health Savings Account; Healthcare Spending Account; Dependent Care Spending Account\n\nTuition Assistance\n\nTo learn more about our benefits offering, please click here: Work With Us | Carrier Corporate The specific benefits available to any employee may vary depending on state and local laws and eligibility factors, such as date of hire and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.\nPay Range\nThe hourly rate for this position is between $15 - $30 per hour.
