At carsales, we're all about making buying and selling a great experience. For 28 years we've been evolving with the new economy to help people choose how they move today and tomorrow. We started out with the idea of digitising print classifieds back in 1997 when we thought that 'this internet thing might actually be starting to take off'.

Are you ready to shape the future of Digital Advertising?

Publift is a dynamic Adtech company dedicated to empowering online publishers and websites to maximize their revenue from display ads. We are passionate about driving publisher growth and have an amazing team committed to this mission. We empower publishers to feel safe and thrive for a long time.

Fueled by recent enhancements in our sales capacity and product development efforts, Publift has experienced exciting growth since our inception. We will continue to grow, and we continue to evolve-and we’re committed to taking innovative steps to get there.

Founded in 2015, we have a diverse team of Pub-lifters, growing to over 70 people across three countries!

When it comes to your career, we want to offer meaningful opportunities that empower you to make a lasting impact. But for that to happen, we strive to feel small - small enough to stay agile, learn across teams, and connect authentically with each other.

This role sits within our Publisher Optimisation team, which focuses on improving monetisation outcomes through data-driven experimentation and scalable auction optimisation. The team works collaboratively across Product, Engineering, Data Science and Commercial, combining analytical rigour with hands-on problem solving to deliver measurable impact for publishers in a highly competitive ad-tech environment.

We embrace hybrid working combining the flexibility of remote work with the energy and connection of in-person collaboration. We champion flexibility and offer a range of policies and leave options to support your wellbeing.

What’s on offer

  • Recognition as one of Australia’s Best Workplaces™ by Great Place to Work®, a Family Friendly Workplace, a WORK180 endorsed employer.
  • A highly engaged, collaborative team where you’ll learn from exceptional talent.
  • 24 weeks paid parental leave for primary caregivers, four weeks for secondary caregivers, and six weeks paid gender-affirming care leave.
  • Continuous learning opportunities, and wellbeing initiatives that support your mental, emotional, and physical health.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Yield Analyst, you’ll study, test, and optimise publisher-side auctions across leading ad-tech platforms including Prebid, Google Ad Manager and Amazon TAM. Working in a competitive environment, you’ll help evolve our optimisation technology to be smarter, faster and more scalable, delivering measurable revenue and performance uplift for publishers.

You will work across the full optimisation lifecycle, turning ideas into hypotheses, running experiments, and embedding outcomes into repeatable processes while partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Design and Commercial teams.

You'll:

  • You own day-to-day yield optimisation in our ad-tech stack (GAM, Prebid, Amazon/TAM and related tools), executing and iterating upon optimisation strategies to improve customer outcomes.
  • You get hands on with investigating and resolving performance problems through the use of varied reporting platforms and on-page debugging tools (DevTools/console)
  • You form hypotheses, run targeted A/B experiments or controlled tests, and translate outcomes into clear strategic and product recommendations and documentation.
  • Build and maintain reusable optimisation playbooks and runbooks that other teams can execute, including baseline onboarding checks and targeted experiments for specific publisher types.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering and Data Science to scope improvements to monetisation tooling, reporting and statistical methods, and to roll out approved changes safely and consistently.
  • Contribute to vendor and partner evaluations (SSPs/identity/measurement), assisting the wider team members with analysis for trials and integrations that can create measurable uplift or reduce cost.

What we’re looking for:

  • Working knowledge of ad-serving and programmatic advertising, including auctions, deals, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with large datasets in Excel/Google Sheets and communicating insights clearly.
  • Test-and-learn mindset, able to define problems, run experiments, interpret results, and document clear next steps.
  • Practical troubleshooting skills on live pages (logs, network calls, console), with a focus on learning and repeatability.
  • Collaborative and coachable, confident acting as a subject-matter resource while knowing when to escalate complexity.
  • Experience in a programmatic yield or adjacent analytics role; familiarity with GAM, Prebid and/or Amazon TAM is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including documenting processes and presenting to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Degree in a quantitative or analytical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

A few other things we want you to know...

  • As an equal opportunity employer, Publift welcomes applications from individuals of all backgrounds, identities, abilities, and life experiences. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and supported
  • If you have a disability or require adjustments to participate fully in the recruitment process, please let us know-we’re here to support you.
  • We understand the importance of work-life balance and offer flexible working arrangements, including part-time options. If you’d like to explore this, just ask during the process.
  • We’re also a proud Circle Back Initiative employer, which means we commit to responding to every applicant.
  • Successful candidates joining the team will need to complete a National Police Record check and must have full-time Australian working rights.

So come and join us because every role contributes something meaningful as we embark on this exciting journey of growth and innovation.
