Some of the strategic support that we provide includes:\nCapital calls and distributions\nAudit/tax support\nPre/post close services\nQuarterly and annual financials\nLimited Partner communications\nSBIC regulatory compliance and SBA reporting\nBring transparency to founders, VCs, established General Partners and LPs and help our clients make more accurate decisions by helping them utilize our tools and resources such as:\nReal-time IRR\nReal-time portfolio data\nProvide additional data points (TVPI, RVPI)\nImprove our product and software through working with our product and engineering teams to continue to develop our Private Capital product suite\nTurn a service industry into a software business through consulting with clients and implementing our Fund Administration software\nInteract with clients on a daily basis and manage an effective client relationship\nInteract with external auditors and tax providers\nAdapt quickly as we integrate AI deeper into the fund administration lifecycle - directing and reviewing AI drafted capital calls, reconciliations and financial packages, and owning exception management\nAssist Directors to execute new and current processes within the team \nEnsure the accounting team is SOC compliant in all processes and procedures \nThe Impact You’ll Have\nOur goal is to position Carta as the leading Fund Administration group. As a Fund Controller at Carta, you will be part of a highly dynamic team to support our goal and the future of the Fund Administration business. In this role, you will partner with top private capital firms including Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs) to streamline their financial accounting needs. You will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with our product, engineering, go-to-market and operation teams, all while growing your foundational knowledge of accounting in an engaging, fast-paced environment. You will also help mentor our junior team members.\nAbout You\nYou have experience maintaining, managing and nurturing multiple client relationships\nYou have experience interpreting and understanding Limited Partnership Agreements\nYou have experience with SBIC fund administration, including SBA compliance, regulatory reporting, and leverage / financing requirements\nYou have experience reviewing financial statements and footnotes, ensuring consistency with appropriate reporting framework\nYou have experience in understanding, interpreting and working on Waterfall calculations, management fees, and carried interest allocations\nYou have strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills\nYou have experience managing and monitoring the timely delivery of quality client deliverables\nYou have experience leveraging technologies to automate processes and gain efficiencies\nYou have experience providing training and guidance to new and existing team members\n8+ years of experience in the Venture Capital or Private Equity Fund Administration with at least two years of SBIC experience\nCPA or CMA preferred\nCarta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans.
