This role requires troubleshooting issues, automating processes, and supporting scalable deployment.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nInstall new systems (bare metal and virtual machines), rebuild existing systems and configure hardware with a focus on infrastructure as code and automation\nDevelop and maintain configuration management tools\nContribute to and maintain system standards\nWork closely with Software Engineers to develop CI/CD pipelines\nResearch and recommend innovative and automated approaches for system administration tasks\nManage security on the systems platform\nPerform and ensure daily automated backup operations are carried out\nApply operating system patches and upgrades on a regular basis\nPerform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning\nMake recommendations for future upgrades\n\nDesired Experience & Qualification\nBSc Computer Science degree or equivalent industry experience\n3-7 years’ experience in infrastructure engineering or related IT roles.\nLinux Guru skillset\nConfiguration management experience (Cfengine, Puppet, Ansible, etc.)\nBig data and supporting systems experience (Hadoop, S3, Cassandra, Kafka, RabbitMQ)\nContainer and Container Orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes)\nExperience running hybrid environment of on-premises and cloud services\n\nThis job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the role.
