# Infrastructure Engineer

Introduction Cartrack, a world-leading smart mobility Software-as-a-Service tech company operating across 27 countries, is looking for a reliable Infrastructure Engineer to be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing Linux-based infrastructure to ensure system reliability and performance. This role requires troubleshooting issues, automating processes, and supporting scalable deployment. Duties & Responsibilities Install new systems (bare metal and virtual machines), rebuild existing systems and configure hardware with a focus on infrastructure as code and automation Develop and maintain configuration management tools Contribute to and maintain system standards Work closely with Software Engineers to develop CI/CD pipelines Research and recommend innovative and automated approaches for system administration tasks Manage security on the systems platform Perform and ensure daily automated backup operations are carried out Apply operating system patches and upgrades on a regular basis Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning Make recommendations for future upgrades Desired Experience & Qualification BSc Computer Science degree or equivalent ind
