Want more of the story?Check out our background here. \nAbout the team and position\n The Workers’ Compensation Coordinator is responsible for the intake and review of Carvana’s employees’ work-related injury reports and ensuring work related injuries are reported timely to the company’s third party claim administrator (“TPA”), as well as other general administrative and operational support items related to the operations of Carvana’s Workers’ Compensation program. This position will act as the single point of contact for Human Resources, Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjusters, injured employees and their managers. The Workers’ Compensation Coordinator is also responsible for coordinating return-to-work accommodations prescribed with light duty restrictions and with full duty release. The Workers’ Compensation Coordinator will monitor and regularly review active claims to stay apprised of developments and document reviews and tasks within the company’s Risk Management Information System (“RMIS”). The Workers’ Compensation Coordinator reports directly to the Corporate Insurance Team Lead within the Corporate Insurance Department. \nWhat you’ll be doing\nEvaluate work-related injury reports and ensure timely reporting of Workers’ Compensation claims to Carvana’s TPA.\nWork closely with TPA adjusters to support the claim handling process by providing important details relevant to the Workers Comp incident.\nPlay an important role as an advocate to injured employees and help to provide clarity and support through the claim handling process.\nCoordinate with appropriate business units to identify possible work accommodations for employees released to work with physical restrictions.\nPartner with the HR Department to appropriately status employees on leave due to work-related injuries.\nWork closely with TPA adjusters to support efficiencies in claim adjusting and timely claim closure.\nProvide guidance and acts as a resource to injured employees’ managers when work-related injuries occur.\nOther duties as assigned.\nWhat you should know/have\nExperience with Workers’ Compensation claims or safety incidents in a corporate, carrier or TPA setting is preferred. \nEffective dispute resolution skills; can navigate through difficult and escalated conversations. while maintaining composure, showing empathy and finding a positive resolution.\nExcellent verbal and written communication abilities.\nAbility to communicate well with all personality types, as well as external vendors, and internal peers in a professional and collaborative manner.\nSolid investigative and problem-solving skills.\nExceptional organizational skills - able to effectively track status of a variety of claims and utilize systematic organization tools to meet deadlines and manage workload.\nProven ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.\nAbility to exercise prudent discretion regarding confidential and sensitive personnel information.\nKnowledge of OSHA recordkeeping is preferred\nWhat we’ll offer in return\nFull-Time Salary Position with a competitive salary.\nMedical, Dental, and Vision benefits.\n401K with company match.\nA multitude of perks including student loan payments, discounts on vehicles, benefits for your pets, and much more..\nA great wellness program to keep you healthy and happy both physically and mentally.\nAccess to opportunities to expand your skill set and share your knowledge with others across the organization.\nA company culture of promotions from within, with a start-up atmosphere allowing for varied and rapid career development.\nA seat in one of the fastest-growing companies in the country.\nOther requirements\n To be able to do your job at Carvana, there are some basic requirements we want to share with you.\nMust be able to read, write, speak and understand English.\nOf course, we’ll make any reasonable accommodations for those with disabilities to perform the essential functions of their jobs. \nLegal stuff\n Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
