This hybrid position will be located in our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.\nPlatform Architecture & Engineering\nArchitect, implement, and continuously improve a highly available, secure, and scalable enterprise compute platform.\nFunction as the recognized technical authority for Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and VMware, providing consultation across support units and development teams.\nContribute to modernization efforts, including hybrid cloud integration, evaluating options and recommending strategies aligned to organizational goals.\nChampion automation-first practices and Infrastructure as Code across the infrastructure organization.\nServe as the team's PowerShell subject matter expert (SME), establishing scripting standards, reusable automation frameworks, and best practices.\nDesign, develop, and maintain PowerShell-based automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, consistency, and service reliability.\nMentor team members on automation techniques and PowerShell development.\nAutomation & Operational Excellence\nIdentify and implement automation opportunities that reduce manual effort and improve service delivery.\nDevelop and maintain automated provisioning, configuration management, patching, and reporting solutions.\nSupport ongoing efforts to leverage emerging technologies, including AI-assisted operational tools where appropriate.\nIntegrate automation capabilities into monitoring, ticketing, and operational workflows.\nContinuously evaluate processes and recommend improvements to increase scalability and efficiency.\nReliability Engineering & Support\nServe as the Tier 2/3 escalation point, exercising independent judgment to resolve complex incidents and proactively address issues before they impact users.\nFulfill complex service requests, independently managing scope, timelines, and delivery expectations.\nMaintain and enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.\nParticipate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.\nProvide production 24x7 support coverage, when required, and support weekend implementations.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree and typically a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or 3 years with a master's degree; and/or equivalent work experience.\nAdvanced knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, VMware, infrastructure automation, and enterprise systems administration.\nDemonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and drive operational improvements.\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex technical problems independently.\nPreferred Skills\nProficiency with the Microsoft Windows Server ecosystem, including Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365.\nExperience with VMware enterprise virtualization technologies.\nDemonstrated experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and services, including M365 and Azure\nProficiency in one or more scripting or programming language especially PowerShell\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and automated deployment practices.\nExperience with AI-assisted scripting or code generation tools and the ability to identify and implement use cases where AI improves operational efficiency and reliability.\nFamiliarity with natural language interfaces for operational automation, including copilots and chat-based operations platforms.\nExperience with enterprise monitoring, observability, and automated remediation solutions.\nProfessional Attributes\nApplies strategic thinking to analyze complex situations, formulate plans, and provide recommendations for initiatives of medium-to-high complexity, with some management involvement.\nRecognizes and uses the appropriate form of communication for the target audience;
