You will work across hardware and software to turn ideas into working prototypes and reliable products.\n\nInterview Process:\n\nRound 1 - Show us what you've built:\n\n- Deep dive into your strongest PCBA/embedded project, including architecture, schematics, PCB, firmware, debugging, failures and engineering decisions.\n\nRound 2 - Build with us:\n\n- Work through a realistic CASA hardware-firmware problem with the team. We want to understand how you investigate, reason, build, verify and debug.\n\nWhat to Submit:\n\n- Resume / LinkedIn profile\n\n- 2-3 representative PCBA or embedded projects\n\n- One concrete example of AI accelerating their engineering workflow\n\n- GitHub / schematics / PCB layouts / build logs / photographs / videos / demos, wherever available.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n- Translate product requirements into system architecture, component selection, schematics, PCB layouts, firmware and prototypes.\n\n- Design, review, bring up, debug and validate PCBAs involving microcontrollers, sensors, connectivity, power systems, batteries and peripherals.\n\n- Develop embedded software including BSPs, device drivers, communication protocols, control logic, diagnostics and firmware update mechanisms.\n\n- Own board bring-up and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, debuggers and power supplies.\n\n- Perform root-cause analysis and system-level troubleshooting.\n\n- Make engineering decisions considering cost, performance, power, reliability, manufacturability and serviceability.\n\n- Work closely with product, industrial design, mechanical engineering, suppliers and manufacturing partners.\n\n- Build reusable hardware designs, firmware modules, automated tests and internal engineering tools.\n\n- Use AI tools throughout the engineering process while maintaining responsibility for the correctness and reliability of the final system.\n\nRequired Skills:\n\n- 3+ years of hands-on experience in PCBA development, embedded systems or a closely related field.\n\n- Strong experience in schematic design, PCB layout, board bring-up, debugging and validation.\n\n- Strong Embedded C/C++ programming skills.\n\n- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers and embedded hardware.\n\n- Experience with communication interfaces/protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, CAN, BLE, Wi-Fi.\n\n- Good understanding of power electronics, signal integrity, EMC/ESD and thermal considerations.\n\n- Understanding of DFM, DFT and production testing.\n\n- Ability to read and analyse datasheets and make engineering trade-offs independently.\n\n- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.\n\n- Ability to take an ambiguous requirement and drive it towards a working and reliable product.\n\nGood to Have:\n\n- Experience with Thread, UWB, IR, sub-GHz RF or other wireless/connected-device technologies.\n\n- Experience with IoT or smart-home products.\n\n- Experience with RTOS.\n\n- Experience working with manufacturing partners and suppliers.\n\n- Personal hardware projects, robots, controllers, wearables, smart-home devices or other electronics projects.\n\n- GitHub, PCB designs, schematics, build logs, photographs, videos or working prototypes.\n\nAI Experience:\n\nAt CASA, AI is an engineering multiplier. We are particularly interested in engineers who have actually used AI to significantly accelerate hardware or embedded development. During the interview, you may be asked to demonstrate a real project where AI improved development speed, AI workflows, prompts, agents, scripts or automations used, before/after development timelines, how you verified AI-generated hardware/firmware work, and examples of AI mistakes and how you identified and corrected them.\n\nEducation:\n\n- B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, ECE, Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
