Our expertise and passion drive growth, reliability, and exceptional client experiences.\n\nWe are recruiting to fill the position below:\n\nJob Title: Fleet Manager\n\nLocation: Wuse 2, Abuja (FCT) \n\nEmployment Type: Full-time\n\nJob Summary\n\nCasaLavoro Limited is seeking an experienced and highly organized Fleet Manager with strong mechanical knowledge to oversee the management, maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of the Company's fleet of vehicles.\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all Company vehicles are roadworthy, properly maintained, cost-effective, and available when required. The ideal candidate must possess practical knowledge of vehicle mechanics, fault diagnosis, preventive maintenance, vehicle servicing, and repairs, as well as the ability to manage drivers, monitor fuel consumption, control maintenance costs, and maintain accurate fleet records.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nFleet Operations and Management:\n\nMaintain an updated register of all vehicles, including vehicle details, registration documents, insurance, service history, and assigned drivers.\nOversee the daily operations and effective utilization of all Company vehicles.\nDevelop and implement fleet management procedures to improve efficiency and accountability.\nEnsure vehicles are deployed efficiently to support business operations and reduce unnecessary downtime.\nCoordinate vehicle allocation, movement, availability, and scheduling across the Company's offices, residential properties, and construction sites.\nMonitor vehicle usage, mileage, driver activities, and operational performance.\n\nMechanical Maintenance and Repairs:\n\nVerify completed repairs and servicing before returning vehicles to operational use.\nMonitor recurring mechanical faults and recommend long-term solutions.\nCoordinate repairs with qualified mechanics, workshops, and service providers.\nApply practical mechanical knowledge to diagnose common vehicle faults and determine appropriate corrective actions.\nMaintain preventive maintenance schedules based on mileage, vehicle condition, manufacturer recommendations, and service history.\nOversee routine servicing, oil changes, brake inspections, tyre replacements, battery checks, engine maintenance, and other preventive maintenance activities.\nConduct regular inspections of Company vehicles to identify mechanical defects, wear, and potential safety issues.\nAssess repair quotations and ensure that maintenance costs are reasonable and necessary.\nAdvise Management on whether vehicles should be repaired, replaced, or withdrawn from service.\n\nDriver and Vehicle Safety Management:\n\nOrganize driver briefings and training on vehicle care, defensive driving, and safety procedures.\nMonitor driver conduct, punctuality, vehicle handling, fuel usage, and adherence to Company policies.\nEnsure vehicles are not operated when unsafe or mechanically unfit for use.\nInvestigate vehicle accidents, breakdowns, misuse, and other fleet-related incidents.\nConduct or coordinate pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.\nEnsure drivers possess valid licences and comply with road safety regulations.\nSupervise and coordinate Company drivers, ensuring compliance with approved driving procedures and operational schedules.\n\nFuel and Cost Control:\n\nMaintain accurate records of fuel purchases, servicing expenses, repairs, spare parts, and other fleet-related costs.\nReview invoices, receipts, and maintenance records before submitting expenses for approval.\nImplement measures to minimize unnecessary expenditure and improve fuel efficiency.\nIdentify unusual fuel consumption, excessive repair expenses, and possible vehicle misuse.\nMonitor fuel consumption and mileage for all Company vehicles.\nPrepare periodic
