Cascade works behind the scenes to provide innovation, world-class coffee roasting, and a wide variety of packaging options to highlight their loyal customer’s brands.\nFounded in 1977, the company operates from a 150,000 square foot manufacturing and roasting facility, more than 2 million pounds of green coffee storage facility, 50 million pounds annually of coffee roasting capacity as well as multiple roasting lines, flavor mixing systems and 14 automated packaging lines.\nWhy Cascade? \nWe offer a unique blend of benefits for you and your family!\nWAGE RANGE (NON-EXEMPT): $19.77 - $21.00 / Hour\nSCHEDULE:Weekend Shift 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM Friday - Sunday\nREPORTS TO: Quality Control Supervisor\nPOSITION SUMMARY:\nThe Sanitation Technician is responsible for custodial duties in various areas of the Cascade Coffee Facility, which include, but not limited to, restrooms, employee breakrooms, handwashing stations, outside areas, trash removal, factory walkways, and stocking cleaning supplies, etc. This role is a full-time opportunity. \nPrimary responsibilities are ensuring that PPE and staff toiletries are stocked. In addition, spot cleaning in employee restrooms and will use chemicals according to company guidelines as well as safe practices. \nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: \nPerforms spot checks on all restrooms daily. \nCleans both employee break rooms daily. \nWeekly performs cleaning duties per Cascade Coffee’s KLEANZ program. \nComplies with General Safety Communication Program. \nComplies with all Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety protocols. \nClean and dust the Employee Welcome and Training Center. \nThe full-time Sanitation Technician will be primarily responsible for Sweeping and Mopping main walkways and dusting walkway railings. \n*Performs other duties and tasks as assigned. \nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:\n1-3 years’ experience of custodial or janitorial experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. \nAttention to detail and able to work well with the team. \nPHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:\nIntermediate oral and written communications skills required. \nBasic ability to read, write, calculate simple math, and withstand moderate amounts of stress. \nAbility to work independently and communicate with other employees on quality issues. \nWORK ENVIROMENT AND EQUIPMENT: \nThis job is located within the corporate office, in an indoor environment. \nRequired to stand on a hard surface floor for several hours a day and walking between outside buildings. \nThis position is inside a warehouse roasting facility that requires constant standing on concrete floors, exposed to loud equipment noise and subject to coffee dust and flavoring smells. \nOccasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions when transferring product from one building \nto another. \nOccasionally required to work with heights. \nPersonal protection equipment and other Good Manufacturing Practices are mandatory. \nWORK HABITS:\nRegular attendance and promptness are a requirement for this position. \nEmployees must also be flexible to work additional hours outside a shift as required. \nAssists new training of employees as directed. \nCascade coffee is committed to creating an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity.
