You will own problems across the entire customer journey, not just individual screens: from the moment a customer signs a contract, through onboarding and channel setup, to deciding when and how we notify them, and how they understand and act on security work inside the Casco console.\nThis is a role for someone who can turn an ambiguous customer problem into a thoughtful product experience and then ship it. You'll work directly with customers, founders, security experts, and engineers to make a technically sophisticated product feel clear, trustworthy, and effortless.\nWhat You'll Actually Do\nOwn customer journeys end to end: Map and improve the experience from contract signature through onboarding, activation, ongoing use, and renewal.\n\nDesign across surfaces: Create coherent experiences spanning email, Slack or Teams, customer channels, setup flows, notifications, and the Casco console.\n\nTurn customer needs into product decisions: Talk with customers, identify the real problem behind a request, and decide what should be built.\n\nBuild polished frontend experiences: Translate ideas into intuitive, accessible, responsive interfaces and ship them to production.\n\nMake notification decisions thoughtfully: Determine what customers need to know, when they need to know it, which channel should carry the message, and what action should follow.\n\nSimplify complex security workflows: Make findings, testing progress, setup requirements, and next steps understandable without hiding important detail.\n\nPrototype and iterate quickly: Use sketches, working prototypes, and production code to test ideas and learn from real usage.\n\nRaise the product quality bar: Improve interaction patterns, information architecture, copy, states, and shared components across the product.\n\nMeasure the experience: Define success signals, instrument key journeys, and use qualitative and quantitative feedback to improve them.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nMust-Haves\nStrong product sense: You can identify the most important customer problem, make good tradeoffs, and explain why a solution should work.\n\nUX experience: You understand user flows, information architecture, interaction design, content, accessibility, and the details that make a product feel intuitive.\n\nFrontend depth: You have substantial experience building and shipping modern web applications with TypeScript and React.\n\nEnd-to-end thinking: You naturally connect touchpoints across the customer lifecycle instead of optimizing one screen in isolation.\n\nCustomer empathy: You seek direct customer context and can design for security teams, engineers, and business stakeholders with different needs.\n\nOwnership: You can move from a loosely defined opportunity to a shipped, measured product without waiting for a complete specification.\n\nClear communication: You can make your thinking visible through writing, prototypes, and direct conversations with technical and non-technical teammates.\n\nHigh craft bar: You care about the last 10% of an experience, including loading, empty, error, permission, and edge-case states.\n\nStartup readiness: You are comfortable with ambiguity, fast feedback, and changing your mind when the evidence changes.\n\nNice-to-Haves\nYou're a developer who is genuinely curious about hacking, offensive security, and how attackers think.\nExperience building B2B SaaS, developer tools, security products, or other technically complex products.\nExperience designing onboarding, lifecycle messaging, notification systems, or multi-channel workflows.\nA portfolio, side project, or shipped product that shows both product thinking and implementation quality.\nComfort working across the stack when doing so helps deliver a complete customer experience.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nNew customers move from signed contract to meaningful product value with less friction and less manual guidance.\nCustomers receive timely, useful communication without unnecessary noise.\nThe console makes complex security work easy to understand, prioritize, and act on.\nExperiences across the console, email, and customer channels feel like one coherent product.\nThe team ships better product decisions faster because you bring customer insight, UX thinking, and engineering execution together.\nWhat We Offer\nSan Francisco: This role is based in our San Francisco office.\n\nCompensation: $200,000 base salary plus meaningful equity-we're early enough that it actually matters.\n\nMeaningful ownership: Shape the product experience and the way our team builds product while the company is still early.\n\nDirect customer access: Learn from the people using what you build and see the impact of your work quickly.\n\nLearning opportunities: Conference budget, books, courses, and whatever helps you grow.\n\nSmart colleagues: Work with a team of former AWS engineers and security experts who care deeply about customers and craft.\n\nOur Mission\nWe're making all software effortlessly secure by building AI agents that think like attackers.
