You will support purchasing activities across categories such as facilities, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), equipment, tooling, office supplies, professional services, software, and other operational requirements.\nThis is an early-career opportunity for someone who is organized, responsive, commercially curious, and eager to build a foundation in procurement. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to obtain quotes, place purchase orders, monitor deliveries, resolve order issues, and maintain accurate purchasing records in a fast-paced environment.\nResponsibilities\nProcess purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders for indirect materials, equipment, and services.\nReview purchasing requests for completeness, accuracy, required approvals, and supporting documentation.\nObtain supplier quotations and assist with evaluating pricing, availability, lead time, payment terms, and commercial requirements.\nCoordinate with stakeholders to clarify scopes of work, specifications, delivery requirements, and requested need dates.\nMonitor open purchase orders and communicate order status, delivery risks, and changes to internal stakeholders.\nFollow up with suppliers to expedite critical orders and resolve late deliveries, invoice discrepancies, damaged shipments, and other transactional issues.\nSupport supplier onboarding by collecting required documentation and coordinating with internal teams.\nMaintain accurate supplier, purchase-order, pricing, lead-time, and delivery information within Castelion’s procurement and ERP systems.\nAssist with negotiations involving pricing, freight, lead time, minimum-order quantities, payment terms, and other standard commercial conditions.\nSupport competitive bidding, supplier comparisons, spend analysis, and cost-reduction initiatives.\nPartner with facilities, manufacturing, engineering, finance, information technology, security, and other departments to support operational purchasing requirements.\nHelp ensure purchasing activities comply with Castelion policies, approval requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable government regulations.\nDevelop productive supplier relationships and provide responsive support to internal customers.\nIdentify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, supplier responsiveness, and transaction efficiency.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, finance, operations, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.\nUp to two years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, operations, accounts payable, order management, or a related function. Relevant internships or co-op experience may be considered.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and follow assignments through completion.\nClear written and verbal communication skills.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nExperience creating or managing purchase orders in an ERP, MRP, procurement, or purchasing system.\nExposure to indirect procurement categories such as facilities, MRO, equipment, tooling, professional services, software, office supplies, or general operations.\nExperience requesting and comparing supplier quotations.\nFamiliarity with supplier onboarding, invoice reconciliation, or accounts-payable processes.\nAbility to analyze basic pricing, spend, delivery, and supplier-performance data.\nExperience working in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, technology, construction, or another fast-paced operational environment.\nBasic understanding of procurement terms, including lead time, payment terms, freight, warranties, and total cost.\nInterest in developing knowledge of FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and government-contracting requirements.\nDemonstrated initiative, sound judgment, curiosity, and willingness to learn. \nCastelion offers a generous benefits package.
