You will be responsible for operating assigned vehicles, completing required inspections, securing cargo, maintaining accurate transportation records, and complying with all applicable safety, regulatory, and company requirements. This role requires sound judgment, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.\nResponsibilities\nSafely operate assigned company vehicles and trailers.\nTransport materials, equipment, production hardware, tooling, and other cargo between facilities, vendors, test sites, and external partners.\nExecute local and regional routes based on operational requirements.\nComplete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles, trailers, equipment, and cargo.\nEnsure cargo is properly loaded, secured, and transported in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.\nTransport hazardous materials only when properly licensed, trained, medically qualified, and authorized to do so.\nVerify required shipping papers, manifests, permits, emergency response information, and other transportation documentation.\nComply with applicable DOT, FMCSA, state, company, hours-of-service, weight, routing, and cargo-securement requirements.\nMaintain accurate driver logs, inspection records, shipment documentation, and proof of delivery.\nMaintain assigned vehicles, trailers, and equipment in a safe, clean, and serviceable condition.\nReport vehicle defects, cargo issues, delays, incidents, or safety concerns promptly.\nFollow all company safety, security, environmental, and emergency-response procedures.\nCoordinate professionally with internal teams, vendors, customers, and external partners.\nMaintain confidentiality and security when transporting sensitive or mission-critical materials.\nSupport changing schedules, urgent transportation needs, overtime, and occasional extended or regional routes as required.\nBasic Qualifications\nValid driver's license appropriate for the assigned vehicle.\nCommercial Driver's License when required for assigned vehicles or routes.\nClean Motor Vehicle Record and ability to meet company driver-qualification requirements.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate when required.\nAbility to comply with applicable DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements for safety-sensitive positions.\nExperience operating commercial vehicles, delivery vehicles, trucks, or trailers.\nKnowledge of vehicle inspection, cargo securement, and safe driving practices.\nAbility to read and follow transportation documents, route instructions, and safety procedures.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to safe, reliable operations.\nAbility to lift and move materials weighing up to 50-75 pounds.\nAbility to work independently and exercise sound judgment.\nClear communication and dependable attendance.\nFlexibility to work overtime, changing schedules, and occasional extended routes.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nClass A Commercial Driver's License.\nHazardous Materials endorsement.\nExperience transporting regulated, sensitive, hazardous, or high-value cargo.\nExperience operating tractor-trailers, box trucks, flatbeds, or other commercial vehicles.\nExperience with cargo securement, shipping documentation, and transportation records.\nCurrent Transportation Worker Identification Credential.\nExperience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, construction, military, or other regulated environments.\nPrevious experience supporting local and regional transportation operations.\nActive U.S. government security clearance.\nWork Environment \nThis role may require driving between multiple company locations, vendors, test sites, and partner facilities.\nWork may occur indoors, outdoors, in vehicle yards, loading areas, and industrial environments.\nThe role may involve extended periods of driving, standing, walking, lifting, bending, climbing, and working around vehicles and equipment.\nDrivers must be willing to work flexible hours based on operational needs.\nCastelion offers a generous benefits package.
