This role combines hands-on facilities maintenance with day-to-day site coordination and is best suited for someone who is comfortable working with tools, troubleshooting basic building issues, supporting contractors, and jumping in wherever needed to keep the site operational.\nThe Facilities Technician will support the lead technician and facilities manager to maintain the buildings, utilities and services to support the test site personnel to perform their functions. Customer Service is the key mind set with a willingness to be trained in building maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and facility systems. \nThis is a highly dynamic role where no two days will look the same. The ideal candidate has some experience and training in at least one of the following categories Plumbing, Electrical or HVAC .\nThis is a full-time, on-site position requiring the ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and flexibility to support changing site priorities and occasional needs outside of standard business hours.\nResponsibilities\nPerform basic hands-on building and facilities maintenance, including minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, carpentry, hardware, and general repair work within appropriate skill and authorization levels\nConduct regular site and building walkthroughs to proactively identify maintenance, safety, cleanliness, organization, and site-readiness issues and drive them through resolution\nUse common hand and power tools to perform minor repairs, installations, adjustments, assembly, and preventative maintenance activities\nAssist the Facilities Manager with preventative maintenance activities and routine inspection of building systems, equipment, and site infrastructure\nSupport facilities projects, equipment installations, contractor activities, site improvements, and other field work as needed\nCoordinate and escort facilities vendors and contractors, verify work completion, and communicate outstanding issues or follow-up requirements\nSubmit, track, and follow up on facilities requests and work orders to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner\nCoordinate recurring site services, including janitorial, waste services, pest control, water service, landscaping, portable restrooms, and other operational services\nPartner with EHS, Security, Operations, and other site teams to safely coordinate facilities activities and maintain an operationally ready environment\nBasic Qualifications\nTechnical training in Plumbing, Electrical or HVAC in commercial building environment.\nHands-on experience using common hand and power tools\nGeneral working knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance\nAbility to identify when maintenance issues require escalation to a licensed trade or specialized contractor\nExperience supporting preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, or general facility upkeep\nComfortable working in both office and industrial environments\nAbility to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs.\nAbility to climb and work from ladders and perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, standing, walking, and moving materials\nAbility and willingness to work outdoors in hot, cold, and changing weather conditions\nAbility to work independently while maintaining strong communication with the Facilities Manager and broader site team\nBasic proficiency with Microsoft Office\nWillingness to support occasional needs outside of standard business hours\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nTrade Training of some kind related to building maintenance.\nExperience performing preventative maintenance on building systems or facility equipment\nCastelion offers a generous benefits package.
