We believe focus, ownership, and excellence are decisive advantages - and we're building a world-class team to turn bold ideas into real capability. \nThis is a rare opportunity to join at an early stage, where you'll have significant ownership, collaborate with exceptional teammates, and make a direct, measurable impact on our mission and the future of the company - regardless of your function. \nInstructional Designer\nThe Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality training programs that support Castelion's manufacturing, engineering, quality, safety, and operational teams.\nThis role partners with subject matter experts (SMEs) across the organization to translate technical processes into engaging, competency-based learning experiences that prepare employees to perform safely, efficiently, and consistently in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain instructor-led, eLearning, blended learning, and on-the-job training (OJT) programs.\nPartner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, safety, HR, and other SMEs to identify training needs and create effective learning solutions.\nDevelop competency-based learning paths, qualifications, assessments, and certification programs aligned with operational requirements.\nCreate engaging learning materials including presentations, job aids, process-based training, videos, knowledge checks, and interactive learning content.\nTranslate complex technical information into clear, learner-focused instructional content for diverse audiences.\nBuild and maintain training content within the company's Learning Management System (360Learning).\nDesign formative and summative assessments to evaluate learner knowledge, competency, and training effectiveness.\nSupport implementation of role-based competency frameworks and qualification programs.\nMonitor learner progress and training completion while analyzing performance data to continuously improve training effectiveness.\nEnsure training content remains current with engineering changes, manufacturing processes, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.\nAssist with onboarding programs and new hire training initiatives.\nCollaborate with stakeholders to support compliance with AS9100, OSHA, export compliance, cybersecurity, and other required training initiatives.\nManage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Adult Learning, Human Performance, Organizational Development, or a related field.\n2+ years of experience designing and developing instructor-led and/or eLearning training programs.\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nExperience conducting learning needs analyses and developing measurable learning objectives.\nKnowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, or similar).\nExperience collaborating with technical subject matter experts.\nStrong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.\nExcellent project management and organizational skills.\nAbility to simplify complex technical concepts into engaging learning experiences.\nExperience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).\nExperience developing training in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other technical environment.\nExperience with 360Learning, Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, Camtasia, or similar authoring tools.\nFamiliarity with competency-based training and qualification management.\nExperience developing technical documentation, process-based training, or process documentation.\nKnowledge of AS9100, OSHA, ISO, or regulated manufacturing environments.\nExperience using multimedia tools for video editing and graphic design.\nCastelion offers a generous benefits package.
