This role combines hands-on facilities maintenance with day-to-day site coordination and is best suited for someone who is comfortable working with tools, troubleshooting basic building issues, supporting contractors, and jumping in wherever needed to keep the site operational.\nThe Facilities Technician will support general building maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and facility systems while also owning recurring operational needs such as vendor coordination, site services, supplies, and employee lunch coordination. This is not a primarily administrative or office management position. The successful candidate will spend a significant portion of their time in the field, walking the site, identifying issues, performing basic repairs and maintenance, supporting vendors and technicians, and assisting the Facilities Manager with site projects.\nThis is a highly dynamic role where no two days will look exactly the same. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, resourceful, organized, and comfortable solving problems independently. They should know when an issue can be safely handled directly and when it needs to be escalated to a licensed trade or specialized contractor.\nThis is a full-time, on-site position requiring the ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and flexibility to support changing site priorities and occasional needs outside of standard business hours.\nResponsibilities\nPerform basic hands-on building and facilities maintenance, including minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, carpentry, hardware, and general repair work within appropriate skill and authorization levels\nTroubleshoot facility issues, identify likely causes, perform basic repairs when appropriate, and coordinate specialized contractors when additional expertise is required\nConduct regular site and building walkthroughs to proactively identify maintenance, safety, cleanliness, organization, and site-readiness issues and drive them through resolution\nUse common hand and power tools to perform minor repairs, installations, adjustments, assembly, and preventative maintenance activities\nAssist the Facilities Manager with preventative maintenance activities and routine inspection of building systems, equipment, and site infrastructure\nSupport facilities projects, equipment installations, contractor activities, site improvements, and other field work as needed\nCoordinate and escort facilities vendors and contractors, verify work completion, and communicate outstanding issues or follow-up requirements\nSubmit, track, and follow up on facilities requests and work orders to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner\nCoordinate recurring site services, including janitorial, waste services, pest control, water service, landscaping, portable restrooms, and other operational services\nManage general site, maintenance, kitchen, snack, and beverage supplies to ensure appropriate materials remain stocked and available\nCoordinate daily employee lunches, including ordering, delivery coordination, setup, and resolution of day-to-day issues\nReceive and move facilities supplies, materials, and deliveries throughout the site as needed\nPartner with EHS, Security, Operations, and other site teams to safely coordinate facilities activities and maintain an operationally ready environment\nSupport site events, visitor needs, employee activities, and other operational requirements as they arise\nAssist the Facilities Manager across a wide range of maintenance, operational, and project needs as site priorities evolve\nTake ownership of unexpected facilities issues and help drive them to resolution rather than waiting for direction\nBasic Qualifications\n2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, industrial maintenance, facilities operations, maintenance technician work, or a related hands-on field\nHands-on experience using common hand and power tools\nGeneral working knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance\nAbility to perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs across common facility systems\nAbility to identify when maintenance issues require escalation to a licensed trade or specialized contractor\nExperience supporting preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, or general facility upkeep\nComfortable working in both office and industrial environments\nAbility to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs.\nAbility to climb and work from ladders and perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, standing, walking, and moving materials\nAbility and willingness to work outdoors in hot, cold, and changing weather conditions\nStrong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to balance hands-on maintenance work with coordination responsibilities\nDemonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly\nStrong ownership mentality with the ability to identify problems and drive tasks through completion with limited direction\nExperience coordinating vendors, contractors, deliveries, or service providers\nStrong communication skills and attention to detail\nAbility to work independently while maintaining strong communication with the Facilities Manager and broader site team\nBasic proficiency with Microsoft Office\nWillingness to support occasional needs outside of standard business hours\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nExperience as a Facilities Technician, Maintenance Technician, Building Engineer, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or similar hands-on facilities role\nExperience supporting manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, defense, test, or other technically complex environments\nExperience performing preventative maintenance on building systems or facility equipment\nWorking knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing systems, HVAC equipment, pumps, motors, compressed air, or other common industrial facility systems\nExperience supporting facilities projects, construction activities, equipment installations, or site improvements\nExperience coordinating and overseeing contractors and skilled trades\nExperience with purchasing, vendor quotes, purchase orders, invoices, parts, tools, and maintenance supplies\nFamiliarity with facilities ticketing, work order, preventative maintenance, or project tracking systems such as JIRA\nA mechanically inclined, resourceful, team-first mindset with a
