This role sits at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution. You'll need to be equally comfortable in a boardroom discussion about portfolio analytics and a working session designing Snowflake schemas.\nWhat you'll get:\nStrategic Impact: Lead full-scope projects from roadmap to production, not just strategy decks that sit on a shelf\n\nDirect Mentorship: Work alongside the firm's Principals on every engagement\n\nModern Tech Stack: Work with best-in-class tools (similar to Snowflake, dbt, Dagster, Sigma, AWS, etc.) and cutting-edge AI/agentic development workflows\n\nPath to Partnership: Clear trajectory toward firm equity and partnership for high performers\n\nCore Responsibilities\nClient Leadership & Strategy\nPartner with senior investment professionals (PMs, CIOs, COOs, Heads of Operations) to understand their business goals and translate them into actionable technical roadmaps\n\nOwn client relationships end-to-end, managing expectations, deepening engagements, and identifying new opportunities\n\nLead projects from inception to delivery, ensuring the final product solves the actual business problem\n\nTechnical Solutioning\nDesign data architectures and analytics solutions that fit the client's investment workflow\n\nUse Python and SQL to build dashboards, analytics tools, and investment applications\n\nLeverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery\n\nGuide architectural decisions across modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, cloud infrastructure)\n\nThis is not a \"heavy\" data engineering role, but you need to understand the underlying tools and architectures well enough to recommend optimal approaches and know what's technically feasible.\nQualifications\nRequired:\nPrior experience within an investment management or trading organization (hedge funds, asset managers, quant shops, or market makers)\n\nDemonstrated project leadership and comfort managing relationships with senior executives\n\nProficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and application development\n\nStrong conceptual understanding of modern data infrastructure\n\nValued:\nManagement consulting experience (strategy or implementation)\n\nExperience at financial technology firms serving asset managers\n\nFamiliarity with investment operations, portfolio analytics, or fund accounting workflows\n\nPersonal Attributes:\nHigh ownership mentality: you see problems through to resolution without being told\n\nExecutive presence to hold your own with senior investment leaders\n\nIntellectual curiosity about both the investment side and the technology side\n\nComfort with ambiguity and ability to structure unstructured problems\n\nLocation & Compensation\nLocation: Hybrid in the NYC area.
