We help manufacturers and heavy industry reduce downtime, extend equipment life, and improve productivity through innovative products and technical expertise.\nOpportunity!\nWe have an opportunity for a Business Development Manager - Mining\nAre you looking to be part of an entrepreneurial work environment with leading-edge industrial wear protection technology?\n\nAre you keen to uncover market needs?\n\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:\nThe Business Development Manager - Miningis a key member of the Wear Services Business Unit at Castolin Eutectic, responsible for delivering comprehensive wear solutions to end users within targeted key accounts in the mining industry. This role focuses on leveraging Castolin Eutectic’s advanced technology and service offerings to develop and grow the market for wear-resistant products and solutions across Timmins and the surrounding mining communities.\nJob Responsibility:\nMarket Development: Drive the growth of Castolin Eutectic’s wear services, including CDP wearplate, CastoChrome, Castodur, LaserClad and other complementary products and services, by targeting key accounts in the mining industry, construction, and fabrication industries.\n\nStrategic Collaboration: Work closely with the Services Team, Product Managers and Marketing to identify market opportunities, provide technical and application support, and develop joint strategies for market penetration.\n\nCustomer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including but not limited to end users in mining, construction, and other heavy industries, to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.\n\nBusiness Development: Identify prospects and existing customers needs that fit the company’s services capabilities. Develop strategies and messaging for new customer acquisition and existing customer expansion.\n\nMaintain an Opportunity Pipeline: Within Dynamics CRM maintain an opportunity pipeline.\n\nTechnical Support: Provide technical, design, and product support to customers, addressing wear-related queries and assisting with proposals and quotations.\n\nMarket Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities and pricing, providing timely feedback to inform strategic decisions and pricing strategies.\n\nBusiness Planning: Develop and implement objectives, strategies, and business plans to achieve growth targets.\n\nCross-Regional Collaboration: Maintain contact and cooperation with other regions to share best practices and drive continuous improvement in technical and commercial approaches.\n\nPerformance Accountability: Ensure the achievement of sales volumes, revenue targets, and enhanced gross profit margins for the Wear Services business.\n\nA. Administration\n· Support the development of a Services Growth Strategic Plan to help advance the organization's vision, mission, and objectives to generate revenue and profitability.\n· Responsible to identify and effectively communicate and support the resolution of critical business issues.\n· Represent the company at marketing events, trade shows, conferences, and training workshops.\n· Keep key documentation updated on CRM and deliver expense reports on a weekly basis.\n· Other tasks as defined\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nEngineering degree in Materials or Mechanical\n\n5-10 years of relevant industrial sales experience in the wear services business.\n\nSolid understanding of the wear management solutions offered in a variety of heavy industries.\n\nSKILLS AND ABILITIES:\nBasic understanding of maintenance and repair welding.\n\nPossess a hunter mentality with cold-calling experience.\n\nBasic understanding of company key clients and their position in the industry\n\nMechanical aptitude\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite\n\nConsultative communication skills\n\nSelf-motivated and self-directed individual\n\nKnowledge of basic print reading skills\n\nWell organized and detail-oriented and good with time management skills\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\n· Ability to travel up to 60%\nOTHER DUTIES:\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
