This position oversees financial transaction processing, account maintenance, reconciliations, exception management, and operational controls to ensure the accurate and timely execution of financial activities while maintaining compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and service level agreements.\nThis role is a hands-on operational leader responsible for developing employees, driving operational excellence, implementing process improvements, and maintaining a culture of accountability, accuracy, and customer service. The supervisor serves as the primary escalation point for operational and financial issues and partners closely with Client Services, Technical Support, Business Analysts, Accounting, Compliance, and Systems teams to ensure seamless service delivery and financial integrity.\nWhat You Will Do:\nCore Responsibilities\nOperational Leadership\nLead the daily operations of the Finance department.\nEnsure all contractual service levels and client commitments are consistently achieved.\nOversee the accurate and timely processing of contributions, distributions, account maintenance transactions, returned payments, exception processing, and other financial transactions.\nEnsure daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation activities are completed accurately and within established timelines.\nMonitor operational workloads and balance resources to meet production and quality expectations.\nIdentify operational and financial risks and implement corrective actions before service levels or financial controls are impacted.\nServe as the primary escalation point for complex transaction and reconciliation issues.\nPeople Leadership\nSupervise, coach, mentor, and develop a team of Finance Analysts and Financial Processors.\nConduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions.\nEstablish clear performance expectations related to productivity, quality, accuracy, and timeliness.\nMonitor employee performance and hold team members accountable for results.\nDevelop succession plans and reduce operational dependency on individual employees.\nFoster a collaborative, customer-focused, and accountable team culture.\nRecognize and develop high-performing employees for future advancement opportunities.\nTraining & Employee Development\nDevelop and maintain structured onboarding and training programs.\nCreate individual development plans for each employee.\nImplement cross-training plans with measurable completion milestones.\nCoordinate professional development opportunities, including Udemy learning paths.\nMaintain training documentation and competency records.\nOperational Oversight\nEnsure quality standards are consistently met across financial processing and reconciliation activities.\nMonitor key operational and financial performance metrics.\nIdentify and implement opportunities for process automation and workflow improvements.\nSupport system enhancements, testing activities, and operational readiness initiatives.\nDevelop and maintain reporting that provides visibility into operational performance, reconciliation activity, and exception trends.\nPromote continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, scalability, and financial accuracy.\nCompliance & Risk Management\nEnsure adherence to Client contracts, Internal controls, Financial policies, Regulatory requirements and Audit standards\nSupport internal and external audits.\nMonitor compliance with operational procedures and quality standards.\nEscalate operational or compliance risks appropriately.\nRequirements\nWhat You Will Need to Succeed\nBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Operations Management, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n3-5+ years of progressive experience in financial operations, payment processing, banking operations, or account servicing.\nMinimum two years of direct supervisory experience leading operational teams.\nPreferred Experience supporting 529 College Savings, prepaid tuition, financial services, banking, or investment operations.\nSkills and Experience\nStrong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.\nExcellent organizational and time management abilities.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to prioritize multiple competing responsibilities.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong customer service orientation.\nExperience managing operational metrics and KPIs.\nKnowledge of financial transaction processing and reconciliations.\nWorking knowledge of internal controls and compliance requirements.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel and
