This role is ideal for a collaborative analyst looking to combine accounting fundamentals and financial discipline with operational business partnering in a Shared Services environment.\nResponsibilities\nOperational Accounting Close:\nOwn day-to-day management accounting processes, including month-end/fiscal close activities, preparing journal entries, and completing balance sheet reconciliations.\n\nExecute, monitor, and maintain key financial and accounting controls to ensure compliance with internal corporate policies.\n\nDiscrepancy Analysis & Issue Resolution:\nResearch, analyze, and resolve complex financial discrepancies, performing thorough root-cause analysis to implement sustainable process improvements.\n\nIdentify, resolve, and escalate critical accounting issues to management when appropriate.\n\nProcess Optimization & Projects:\nLead or support specific accounting projects, process improvements, and business initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.\n\nPartner with IT regarding system enhancements, software implementations, and technical issue resolution to ensure seamless policy compliance.\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration:\nBuild and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional business partners across the company, including Finance, Tax, Audit, Financial Planning, Merchandise Planning & Allocation, and Supply Chain.\n\nCollaborate cross-functionally with various departments and multiple levels of management, providing clear accounting guidance and support.\n\nReporting, Metrics & Forecasting:\nDevelop, maintain, and enhance financial reporting, operational metrics, and analysis templates to assist leadership decision-making.\n\nTeam Development:\nProvide guidance, training, and support to team members and assist in the onboarding of new associates on core accounting tools and processes.\n\nQualifications\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a closely related field is preferred.\n\nExperience:\n1-3 years of professional accounting, Accounts Payable, corporate finance, or related operational experience is preferred.\n\nAccounting Knowledge:\nSolid understanding of fundamental accounting principles, financial reporting procedures, and account reconciliation processes.\n\nTechnical Skills:\nIntermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data formatting).\n\nExperience creating, maintaining, or updating data queries and financial reporting tools.\n\nCore Competencies:\nStrong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills; excellent written and verbal communication.\n\nSuperb interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with cross-functional teams and various levels of management.\n\nAbility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment; highly detailed and organized with strong time-management skills.\n\nMindset:\nSelf-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented; eager to learn, take ownership, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while building a career with Catalyst Brands.\n\nWhat You Get If eligible, we offer a competitive benefits package including medical/dental/vision, term life insurance, paid vacation/holidays*, and 401(k) with Company match.
