Reporting to the Mine Foreman, this is an opportunity to be involved and help drive improvements to our owner-operator Mines. This provides variety in your day-to-day work and the chance to broaden your underground capability across multiple styles of mining\nAs a Mining Supervisor, you'll play a key role in leading crews, delivering safe and productive outcomes, and supporting the continued growth of our underground operations. Backed by long-term job security and genuine progression pathways, this is an opportunity to develop your leadership capability within a growing Australian gold producer.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nSet and uphold a high standard of work with strong safety leadership\nPromote, uphold and maintain a strong safety culture across all Underground Activities and workgroups\nLead and co-ordinate your crew of up to 20 people to safety achieve production targets\nFulfil responsibilities as the Statutory Appointed Underground Shift Supervsior in accordance with legislative requirements\nEnsure compliance with mining plans, site procedures and legislative requirements\nSupport, mentor and develop our underground operators and team members\nCollaborate with Technical Services to help identify and seek improvements to how we mine\nWork collaboratively with Technical Services, Maintenance and other key stakeholders\nDrive accountability, performance and continuous improvement within your team\nDemonstrate visible safety leadership by fostering workforce engagement, proactively managing risk and promoting a strong safety culture\nBenefits\nAbout you\nTo be successful in this role, you will possess:\nWA Underground Supervisor's Certificate of Competency (Section 26 Statutory Qualification)\nSound knowledge of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations\nCurrent \"C\" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence\nFirst Aid Certificate\nStrong communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage across all levels\nCurrent Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)\nThe ability to obtain a National Police Clearance\nPrevious experience in remnant underground mining will be held in high regard\nSignificant underground mining experience, with proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement\nWhy Catalyst?\nFIFO isn’t for everyone - it requires commitment and time away from home.
