Ideally, you will have a good standard of education, however the role is supportive. You will need to learn aspects of behaviour management and possess the skills and attributes to implement strategies and utilise de-escalation to diffuse behavioural issues. In addition, we are looking for candidates with:\nLevel 2 English and Maths.\nKnowledge of the statutory requirements of equal opportunities, discrimination, health and safety, SEN & safeguarding of children.\nHigh expectations of students’ behaviour and clear strategies for working with challenging students.\nAbility to motivate and encourage children appropriately.\nAbility to work independently, supported by the teacher, with groups of or individual students.\nWillingness to respond flexibly to the needs of a small team.\nAbility to work with challenging students, understand their needs and demonstrate effective behaviour management strategies as and when required.\nAbility to work at an advanced level with the teacher in planning and delivery of teaching activities (including those defined in Individual Education Plans).\nExperience of teaching children with EAL, SEN, speech and languages difficulties or other complex needs.\nAbility to establish and maintain good relationships and rapport with internal colleagues and external contacts (e.g. parents, education psychologists).\n Addtional information\nFTE: £25,500 - £27,183\nTTO Pro rata: £22,128.07 - £23,588.52\n*based on experience and qualifications\nHours of work: Full time 37 Hours\nContract: Permanment, term time only + 39weeks\nThis post is subject to an enhance DBS check\nNo agencies please.\nCatch22 is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
