Care is high-touch and continuous, with every patient supported across the full arc of their treatment.\nDay-to-day, the Care Plan Specialist conducts patient intake, transcribes physician diagnoses and treatment plans, builds and maintains personalized care plans, runs post-appointment follow-ups, and coordinates insurance, prior authorizations, and billing inquiries. Success means accurate, compliant, and up-to-date documentation alongside a seamless, supportive experience for every patient.\nRequirements\nMust-Have\n2-3 years of experience in patient navigation, healthcare coordination, or medical records management\nWorking knowledge of medical terminology, diagnoses, and treatment plan documentation\nMedical transcription experience - accurately documenting physician explanations, diagnoses, and treatment plans\nExperience building and maintaining personalized patient care plans and medical records in line with healthcare compliance regulations\nExperience handling insurance documentation, prior authorizations, and billing/claims inquiries\nProficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive), Slack, and Zoom\nC1+ English (CEFR) for direct patient communication and coordination with US-based medical and administrative teams\nNice-to-Have\nPharmacy background or familiarity with medication management\nHands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems\nExperience collecting and analyzing patient feedback to improve the care experience\nFamiliarity with support and communication tools such as Zendesk, Dialpad, Front, Intercom, or Airtable\nAbout Pearl Talent\nPearl works with the top 1% of candidates from around the world and connects them with the best startups in the US and EU.
