You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to implement best practices and new technologies effectively.\nYOUR CHALLENGE:\nDevelop, maintain, and optimize websites and web applications, ensuring high performance and scalability.\nBuild reusable components, themes, and plugins, ensuring best practices in security, accessibility, and maintainability.\nOptimize websites for performance and SEO, while including improvements to Core Web Vitals.\nWrite clean, efficient, and well-documented code in JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, HTML5, and CSS3.\nConduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.\nWork with Git for version control and collaborate using GitHub or similar tools, including CI/CD pipelines.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across different environments.\nUse AI-driven development day to day, working with company-supplied AI agents such as Claude and Codex to speed up delivery while keeping quality high.\nStay up to date with the latest web technologies and frameworks, and adopt new tools as they emerge.\nWork with DevOps teams to manage hosting, CDNs, and caching solutions for optimal website performance.\nDevelop Integrations for web sites with 3rd-party platforms and tools.\nTO DO IT, YOU WILL NEED:\n4+ years of experience in frontend or full-stack web development.\nSolid experience building and shipping production websites or web applications, including custom themes, plugins, or components, and working with REST APIs.\nProficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, PHP, and MySQL\nExperience with performance tuning and optimization strategies for websites, including Core Web Vitals.\nFamiliarity with technical SEO best practices would be considered an asset.\nKnowledge of caching strategies, including CDNs and application-level caching would be considered an asset.\nFamiliarity with infrastructure platforms like Cloudflare, AWS, and other hosting solutions.\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.\nExperience with JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as React, Next.js, or NestJS would be considered an asset.\nExperience with WordPress (themes and plugins) is nice to have, but not required.\nWorking knowledge of AI as a day-to-day workflow, using company-supplied AI agents such as Claude and Codex to plan, write, test, and review code, and for research, debugging, learning, and planning.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills.\nWant to help build the future of Catena Media?
