Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\nWe are seeking a skilled Accountant (Statutory Audit)to join GLBL BusSvcs Tax-Bangalore -Global Finance Services Division.\nThe incumbent would manage the financial record keeping, reporting, tax filing and other accounting functions for the organization.\nTo perform US GAAP and LGAAP Tax accounting functions which require preparation, analysis and communication of tax accounting issues of medium to high complexity entities that support Caterpillar business processes.\nRequires understanding of current and deferred tax provisions, coordinate with legal entity team to fairly reflect tax balances for US GAAP and local GAAP (APAC, EMEA, LATAM) audits and support various tax related reporting from corporate and also take active part in automation projects to improve current process and develop dashboard reporting.\nThe preference for this role is to be based out of Whitefield Office, Bangalore, India\nWhat you will do\nFinancial Reporting Preparation of Financial Statements and audit schedules needed for the Legal Entity to comply with regulatory requirements of the Local GAAP and other compliance obligations. Analysis of financial results to arrive at meaningful conclusions Understand and perform Audit adjustments based on GAAP differences and signficance of the transactions; Reconcilition of local GAAP & US GAAP records Support filing of statutory reports with assistance from legal teams\nProject Management Lead statutory audits by ensuring timely provision of information ; Lead discussions with other functional groups to compile and review all financial information required for Financial Statements and audit validations Resolving audit questions and managing discussions independently / with limited support and guide others with respect to preparation and presentation of financials\n Support Other Local Compliances The Incumbent will work with Tax groups (both Direct and Indirect) to assist them with specific requests on data / information feed that involve statutory reports to meet with tax compliances (Assessments/ Audits/ Transfer Pricing, etc). Advisor to the business on matters concerning local statutory requirements \n Business & Regulatory Acumen Strong knowledge of latest regulations that impact statutory reporting Establish close connects with business / operations teams and stay on top of business changes. \nWhat you will have\nQualified Chartered Accountant with 4+ years of experience/ Semi qualified with 10-12 years experience in managing statutory audits \nExperience in accounting in US GAAP & IFRS (or FRS of any country in Asia) is required\nExperience in SAP or other ERP is preferred\nBig 4 experience preferred.\nKnowledge of Compliances relating to Taxes / Secretarial / trade /Currency will be an added advantage but not mandatory\nStrong Communication and inter-personal skills required\nExperience with Stakeholder Management is a plus \nExperience with job transition and leading teams preferred\nThis position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office\nOther Preferred Skills:\nKnowledge of general accounting practices, Passion for Financial Reporting, Ability to learn and adapt quickly and a strong positive attitude.\nMaintaining stable performance under demanding business needs\nSkills desired:\nAccuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.\nLevel Working Knowledge:\nAccurately gauges the impact and cost of errors, omissions, and oversights.\nUtilizes specific approaches and tools for checking and cross-checking outputs.\nProcesses limited amounts of detailed information with good accuracy.\nLearns from mistakes and applies lessons learned.\nDevelops and uses checklists to ensure that information goes out error-free.
