Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\nJob Summary\nWe are looking to add a skilled Accounting Associate (Indirect Tax) within the Indirect Tax CoE (Centre of Excellence) based in Bangalore, India. This role is responsible for managing EMEA VAT compliance processes, leveraging technology platforms such as Vertex/Avalara to ensure accurate filings, data integrity, and payment workflows. The Associate will bring deep multi-jurisdictional tax knowledge, audit compliance expertise, and a proactive approach to process improvement and automation.\nThe preference for this role is to be based out of Whitefield Office, Bangalore, India\nWhat you will do\nThe indirect tax CoE will be responsible for the periodical indirect tax compliance for Global regions.\nThis team will be responsible to extract and interpret the tax data from our systems to enable informed business decisions, perform return filing and reconciling with the books of accounts on the Tax positions.\nOur focus is on improving our tax processes by using technology, which increases our responsibility for monitoring the completeness and accuracy in our indirect tax systems, striving for full tax automation, and driving the vision for improved and efficient tax compliance.\nOur team consists of a diverse group of individuals with backgrounds across consulting, tax, accounting, and analytics. \nYou will need to have strong project management skills as you'll drive cross-border projects and develop best practice in processes on a Global level.\nYou'll be a strong team player who is able to work with people across the organization\nWhat you will have:\nPrepare and Submit EU VAT returns, EC Sales List, Intrastat, other indirect tax filings across multiple jurisdictions Work on testing VAT related internal controls\nAnalyse and validate compliance data, flagging issues and collaborating with teams to resolve them efficiently.\nMaintain and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders regarding compliance-related matters.\nEnsure adherence to indirect tax processes and update procedures as needed to reflect evolving business requirements.\nPrepare and review month-end reconciliations and journal entries, maintaining comprehensive audit documentation.\nLeverage technology to streamline and automate tax calculations, ensuring compliance and accuracy.\nDegree in finance, accounting, tax, or related field.\nStrong English written and verbal communication skills.\nCore experience with Global VAT/GST and Indirect tax accounting. Mainly UK\nWorking knowledge of SAP and Tax engines, tools such as Vertex, GVRT, is preferred\nRobust knowledge of MS Excel\nAbility to analyse large data volumes to identify key insights.\nSelf-driven with a critical and positive 'can-do' attitude.\nComfortable collaborating with various subject matter experts.\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision.\nThis position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office.\nSkills Required:\nAccuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.\nLevel Working Knowledge:\nAccurately gauges the impact and cost of errors, omissions, and oversights.\nUtilizes specific approaches and tools for checking and cross-checking outputs.\nProcesses limited amounts of detailed information with good accuracy.\nLearns from mistakes and applies lessons learned.\nDevelops and uses checklists to ensure that information goes out error-free.
