Depending on business requirements, normal working hours will be 40 hours per week with overtime as required.\nThis role is essential in supporting production operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing advanced automated systems and robotics equipment throughout the warehouse, ensuring minimal downtime and safe efficient operation of automation systems.\nOverview Of Role:\nThe Logistics Facilities Automation Technician is responsible for the advanced maintenance, repair, and operation of all facility systems and equipment in a logistics warehouse environment. This position involves performing routine preventative & corrective maintenance troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, controls automation, and general facilities tasks. The technician will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize systems to ensure the facility operates efficiently and safely. Additionally, Logistics Facilities Automation Technician will mentor Maintenance Team Members, assist in driving maintenance projects, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.\nCore Competencies:\nAdvanced Robotic, Mechanical and Electrical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical with the ability to perform more complex repairs and troubleshooting.\nProblem solving & Troubleshooting: Ability to efficiently identify and resolve complex maintenance issues.\nTime Management & Organization: Skill in managing multiple maintenance tasks while ensuring minimal operational disruption.\nSafety and Compliance: Knowledge of OSHA standards and ability to maintain a safe work environment through safe work practices.\nLeadership and Teamwork: Ability to mentor Maintenance Team Members, assist with training, and contribute to team success.\nAttention to Detail: Ensure high-quality work and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and prevent breakdowns.\nKey Deliverables:\nPerform advanced maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on robotic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and automated systems.\nInstall, calibrate, and repair complex equipment, such as conveyor systems, automated machinery, and control systems.\nLead and coordinate preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment and systems operate optimally and reduce unexpected downtime.\nConduct systems inspections, identifying problems before they affect operations and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. \nRespond to emergency maintenance requests, resolving issues with minimal disruption to the facility’s operations.\nMentor and provide technical guidance to Maintenance Team, helping develop their skills and knowledge. \nAssist in managing and maintaining inventory levels of maintenance supplies and parts, ensuring timely procurement and availability. \nDocument all maintenance and repair activities in a maintenance management system (E-Maintenance), ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of completed tasks, parts used, and time spent.\nAssist in implementing facility improvement projects, providing technical input, and supporting the execution of upgrades or modifications.\nEnsure compliance with environmental regulations, including handling hazardous material and waste disposal.\nParticipate in root cause analysis and recommend system improvements to reduce reoccurring issues and enhance efficiency.\nAssist in managing external contractors or service providers for specialized maintenance tasks.\nRequired Qualifications:\nMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, ideally in a logistics warehouse, or industrial environment.\nStrong technical skills in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and Automation systems.\nExperience working with building automation systems, control systems, and industrial machinery.\nProficient in using hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and test instruments.\nFamiliarity with safety standards, including OSHA regulations, and the ability to always adhere to them.\nEffective communication skills for interacting with team members, supervisors, and external contractors.\nAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to work in a physically demanding role, including lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and performing repairs in various settings.\nDesired Qualifications:\nAssociate’s degree in facilities management, mechanical/electrical engineering, or related field preferred.\nCertification in electrical or mechanical maintenance.\nExperience with computerized maintenance management systems (E- Maintenance)\nKnowledge of safety standards such as NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, and other relevant procedures,\nExperience working with building automation systems, control systems, and industrial machinery.\nPrevious experience in a supervisory or leadership role, including mentoring or training technicians\nTechnology Requirements:\nProficiency in maintenance management software (e.g., E-Maintenance) to track work orders, inventory, and preventive maintenance schedules.\nAbility to work with computerized control systems, sensors, and building automation systems for system monitoring and troubleshooting.\nAbility to use mechanical and electrical diagnostic tools\nOther Requirements:\nWillingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts based on the facility’s needs.\nReliable transportation and the ability to commute to separate locations or facilities as required.\nStrong physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended
