Our products generate and process large amounts of data from sensors, on-board models, and control algorithms in real-time, creating real-world machine usage information to provide condition monitoring and fleet management services.\nThis role will lead Electronic Component Design projects for customer and dealer-facing Connectivity Solutions (Cellular, Sat, Wi-Fi, BT, UWB, etc.) in Cat Technology. Responsibilities include generating hardware requirements from customer (VOC), dealer (VOD), business (VOB), and regulatory (VOR) input, leading the design and development of Connectivity Hardware Products, and leading supplier engagement. The role also ensures consistency between system and hardware requirements, working closely with enterprise technical leaders.\nIn this position, you will help define hardware requirements for Connectivity Hardware, collaborate with potential suppliers, define technology roadmaps, drive engineering execution, and coordinate stakeholder communication. You will work closely with Cat Technology teams on enterprise architecture, implementing new technologies, and evaluating emerging technology solutions.\nWhat You Will Do:\nFacilitating the development and support of Connectivity products through collaboration with development partners including Cat Technology, Cat Digital, Industry Groups, and purchasing.\nOverseeing project progress and costs; communicating status with stakeholders and participating functional areas; addressing and resolving problems.\nDirecting project staffing; motivating and developing project team and team members.\nOverseeing compliance with development processes and regulations for electrical and electronic systems and components.\n Managing and negotiating with electrical and electronic equipment vendors for the development of systems and components.\nAccountability for the definition and management of hardware requirements\nWhat You Will Have:\n\nEffective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.\nDecision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.\nRelationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.\nProject Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.\nSupplier Management: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice\nConsiderations For Top Candidates:\nEngineering degree in Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.\nExperience with electronic component products, component integration and product quality management.\nExperience with Component Product Development for automotive, construction or mining Industry.\nExperience with Supplier management\nFamiliarity with manufacturing processes, audits and controls, defect containment and risk assessment and mitigation through leading indicators.\nKnowledge and experience with connectivity/telematics product line\nKnowledge and awareness of IoT Standards, regulations, and regional requirements\nDemonstrated analytical skills and the ability to perform complex assignments.\nMust have ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in the work group, as well as employees in other business units, customers, and suppliers.\nElectronic component, information systems, and machine systems development experience and knowledge\nAdditional Information:\nThis position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Mossville, IL office.\nDomestic relocation assistance is available for this position.\nVisa sponsorship is NOT available with this position.\nThis position will require up to 10% travel\n#LI\nSummary Pay Range:\n$128,470.00 - $192,710.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-relatedknowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
