This job involves designing, developing and testing control system features for Caterpillar products. The control systems senior engineer will utilize a variety of tools to support all steps of the software development process.\nJob Duties\nGather product and system requirements to further specify and document control system requirements.\nDesign and implement embedded control system for new functions or the enhancement of existing ones. Core functions are implemented in MATLAB and Simulink.\nTest and debug control system software using a variety of methods and tools to demonstrate requirements, optimize system performance, and improve code quality. \nCollaborate with clients and partner teams to provide post-production support.\nQualifications:\nBE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering\n8 to 15 years’ experience in Embedded Control System Software Development\nRequired Skills:\nExperience in MATLAB, Simulink\nKnowledge of Control Systems, MIL & SIL\nUnderstanding of AUTOSAR architecture\nGood Trouble Shooting/Debugging skills \nKnowledge on Software Configuration Tools \nKnowledge on Software testing and Tools (CANalayzer, CANape etc.,) \nAbility to investigate, analyze data and identify root cause of customer issues\nGood Communication and proven ability to work across software layers\nSkill Descriptors\nAnalytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis;
